The Trip to Mount Huangshan

  As the famous saying goes that you won't want to visit any other mountains after seeing wu yue but you won't wish to see even wu yue after returning from Mt. Huangshan, we choose Mt. Huangshan as our travel destination.

 

  We finally chose Mt. Huangshan as our destination, because after all, notable scholars have said that "Other mountains pale before Mt. Wuyue, but even Wuyue bows before Mt. Huangshan".

 

  Mt. Huangshan is located in the south of Anhui province. Originally known as Mt. Yishan it was renamed to Mt. Huangshan in recognition of the legendary Huang Di (黄帝), who was the reputed ancestor of the Chinese people and who made magic pills for immortality here.

黄山，素以奇伟绝俗、灵秀多姿著称于世。我国明代著名的旅行家徐霞客曾这样评价黄山：“五岳归来不看山，黄山归来不望岳。”今年，我们欧美事业部一致选定黄山作为我们的旅游目的地。

 

      黄山位于安徽省的南部。黄山原名黟山，747年唐明皇为纪念人类的始祖轩辕黄帝曾在此山养生修炼而改名黄山。从此，“黄山”这一名称便流传下来，至今已有一千二百多年了。

 

      黄山集雄壮、秀丽、险峻与一身，历游黄山者均被黄山的气韵所倾倒。其中尤以奇松、怪石、云海、 温泉四景，更为人们所称道，被冠名为“黄山四绝”。无与伦比的自然风光和丰富的文化 内涵，使得黄山于1990年被联合国教科文组织列为世界自然与文化双遗产。

 

      下面，我向大家介绍我们这次浏览黄山的几大著名景点，堪称经典。

      黄山之美始于松。

 

      黄山十松之首的迎客松，挺立于玉屏峰东侧，树高10米左右，树干中部伸出长达7．6米的两大 侧枝展向前方，恰似一位好客的主人，挥展双臂，热情欢迎海内外宾客来黄山游览。此松被称为黄山松的代表。

 

      十松中还有连理松，团结松，龙爪松等。

  We got up at 4:00 am and put on all our clothes to view the spectacular sunrise.

It was very cold on the top of the peak. But hundreds of people were waiting that moment.

      五月的黄山上，海内外的游客如潮。为了赶上5：18分的日出时间和找到一个好位置便于观赏，我们凌晨四点起床， 在星夜中再次向我们的双腿挑战。黄山上日夜温差较大，因此大家都穿上了所有的衣服，翘首以盼那气象万千的壮丽美景。

 

  This year’s travel was very fascinating and memorable. Most of all, we had climbed the Mount Huangshan. That was amazing.

 

  Though it was very short two day trip, Huangshan's majesty and beauty still made us stop and gasp in wonder, and for a brief moment, we forgot all about returning. And we can finally say (to ourselves), with just a hint of pride, "We climbed Mt. Huangshan!"

 

      两天的行程虽然短暂，但黄山的雄壮与秀美却让我们叹为观止，流连忘返。终于可以自豪地说，我们爬过黄山啦！
