陕西中部，山城宝鸡，渭河南岸，石坝河以东的地方，名叫下马营。下马营有一座光秃秃的荒山，唐朝时曾出土了周宣王时的十面石鼓，所以名叫石鼓山。这些石鼓，堪称国宝，曾被康有为誉为“中华第一文物”，现存于北京故宫博物院。

    2009年，宝鸡市政府在这里修建了中华石鼓园，把一座光秃秃的荒山，变成了一座绿茵满地、鲜花盛开的美丽公园。清明时节，山顶之上，牡丹盛开，引来了无数游人。
