摄影师杰克德拉诺出生于乌克兰，真名是奥夫查罗夫。在1923年与他的家人移民美国，1937年从宾夕法尼亚美术学院毕业后，他成为OWI一名摄影师。德拉诺还学习音乐，并为波多黎各交响乐团创作了许多作品。
