航空母舰“中途号”CV-41于1945年3月20日下水。40多年来，作为美国海军的一员。它积极参与北越行动、1991年参加沙漠风暴行动。1992年4月11日，这艘船从美国舰队撤出。2004年1月10日，它被停泊在加利福尼亚州圣迭戈的码头，把它变成了最大的航空母舰博物馆。
