科隆大教堂--哥特建筑典范

这个建筑特征是没有水平线。在西边，有两个视觉主导的比例尖顶，毗邻中殿变窄的幅面。塔楼前两层的方形平滑地转化为上三层八角形的形状，并向上渐细。尖塔之间的圆窗的哥特式风格也有自己的特征。门面装饰豪华，有惊人的雕塑和雕刻，每一层都是个性化的，但是它与建筑整体并不矛盾，形成和谐。

科隆大教堂的巨大塔楼几乎可以在城市的任何一个地方看到。


穿过大教堂的塔楼之一要通过一个长长的螺旋楼梯。


它正式的名称为圣彼得和圣玛丽大教堂，简单地称为科隆大教堂。这是世界上高哥特风格最具表现力的例子。科隆大教堂的高度为157米，位居德国第二，世界第三。从1880年到1890年，它一般是世界上最高的建筑物。其中包括两座雄伟的塔楼，总面积达7000平方米。这是宗教建筑的世界纪录。


1880年10月15日：大教堂结束了。因此，建设历时632年。
1939-1945：第二次世界大战期间大教堂遭受破坏。
1996年：大教堂被列入联合国教科文组织世界遗产名录。
