Ray K. Metzker (1931-2014)，梅兹克，黑白摄影大师，1931年生于密尔沃基，1956至1959年间，就读于著名的芝加哥设计学院（Chicago Institute of Design ），师从著名摄影师哈里·卡拉汉和阿伦·希斯金德，随后他在美国费城艺术学院和新墨西哥大学任教，教授摄影。

他致力于发现黑白摄影的潜力，复合材料、分次曝光、底片叠加、双图并置、负感作用和正常的手段都是他的摄影语言的重要组成部分。梅兹克对灯光、阴影和线条的特殊处理，改变了通常视觉感受。1966年，他获得当年的古根海姆学者奖。1967年，纽约现代艺术博物馆为他举办的个展。
