就要去美国纽约了，值得看的或是值得再次观看的剧目：

1. FELA – Great dancing, Bill T. Jones choreography – story about Fela Anikulapo Kuti,using his music – jazz, funk and African rhythm and harmonies.

2. Billy Elliot – Fantastic reviews – Book early!

3. Come Fly With Me – Twyla Tharp choreography, Frank Sinatra’s hits with a live 19 piece band. And 15 great dancers!

4. Hair – A must for anyone with 60’s nostalgia – a great, exhilarating evening with all-time hits like “Aquarius”, etc.

5. In The Heights – Fantastic salsa, hip-hop, rapping, young spirit

6. La Cage Aux Folles – Kelsey Grammer is fabulous in this wild, wonderful musical.

7. Promises, Promises – Sean Hayes, Kristen Chenoweth star in this musical  with songs by Burt Bachrach and Hal David.  Great songs and a charming plot.

8. South Pacific – If you’ve never seen it, run to this timeless musical by Rogers and Hammerstein which deals takes place during WW11, but deals with up to the date topics.  Some consider it the finest musical ever written.

9. West Side Story – Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Robbins – this is my personal all-time favorite.

10. The Lion King – “A spectacular visual feast, this adaptation of Disney’s much-loved film transports you to a dazzling world that explodes with glorious colors, stunning effects and enchanting music.”

11. Avenue Q – A really funny, clever show totally performed by puppets.

12. Blue Man Group – A great show that has been playing in the Village for years, with no end in sight. A wonderful, energizing evening.

13. Fuerza Bruta – It’s a one hour, stand-up show which is truly amazing and creative.

纽约市皇后区粗略探索

全纽约市族裔杂居而又分布最广的皇后区，是组成世界上最吸引人大都会纽约市五个行政区之一。它西面隔着东河望向曼哈顿，西南部连接布碌仓，北边对着布朗士区，南部向着牙买加湾及大西洋，东部则连接长岛的纳苏郡。

粗略探索皇后区，大概得从她的经脉七号地铁开始吧！绰号“国际快车”International Express 的七号地铁是于1984 年开始行车的，日夜不眠不休奔驰于皇后区广大土地上，为不同族裔乘客服务。当年地铁沿线一带还是农地，现在的七号地铁与众多华裔移民的生活息息相关，是他们赖以生存的交通工具。

现代大城市所必不可缺的另类复杂建筑，以负责接送转运川流不息旅人的机场，在皇后区就有两座。处于北边的一座，原先是Gala Amusement Park ,于1 9 2 9 年变成私人飞行俱乐部小型机场，再迟后的十年，经扩建改善后成为现时的拉瓜迪亚机场。La Guadia 为以前的纽约市长，对纽约市建树良多。在南部近牙买加湾的另一座机场是纽约国际机场，于1 9 4 8 年7 月1 日开始使用，十五年后改名为甘乃迪国际机场。

提起皇后区地标，榭亚运动场应算是其中之一。夏季举行棒球赛，成千上万棒球迷挤上运动场看台。1965 年英国披头四摇滚乐队曾在此献艺。榭亚运动场对过马路便是美国网球中心运动场，每年的八月底，美国网球公开赛就在此举行，为时两周。期间由世界60 个国家的250 位Top Tennis Players 参加比赛，奖金可达二百万美金。每天会有上千球迷TennisFans 由各处来到球场，Just Enjoy The Game!在附近不远处是法拉盛草原可乐娜公园，The Park In Our Heart，占地广，称得上是皇后区的中央公园。标榜Peace Through Understanding 的1939 年到1940 年，及1964 年到1965 年两届的纽约市。世界博览会New York World Fair，场地就在此公园内。每年八月中旬举行的香港传统龙舟节，是纽约市重要庆典之一。地点在此公园的湖上。期间，湖畔周围有文化节目表演，摊档处处，像个嘉年华会，热闹非常，吸引不少市民前往观赏。最后要提的是发展最快的华人社区：法拉盛，她是纽约市所有城镇中拥有最多历史古迹的一区，以市政厅、法拉盛高中及圣佐治教堂最为著名。建筑物前的行人道边设置典雅路灯，使附近多了一份古典美及浪漫风情，增加街道的亮度。

据传法拉盛市区名称是由荷文转变而来的。早期荷兰移民于此宁静小村镇生活，发现四周环境优美，绿树密茂成荫，树丛草地、泉水池塘小溪处处，极像荷兰家乡某地区，也就用她来命名此宁静小村镇，演变成至今的F l u s h i n g 了。法拉盛于六十年前是一座破落衰败的历史小镇，全靠移民使她Re -Birth，蜕变发展起来。初期是韩裔移民聚集发展于友联街及北方大道一带，形成韩国村。接着是宝岛人士涌至法拉盛，他们发现地价平，商业刚刚起步，有发展潜能，可大展拳脚。由于买地起楼，开设写字楼、超市、各样店铺、食肆酒楼等，法拉盛曾一度被称为小台北。其中“故乡台菜餐馆”可为代表。据说，其食物的配搭、食材配料、厨师的烹调术等，均十足的台式。
