It may seem impractical, but it is the fundamental and necessary knowledge for students training to become a useful citizen. For instance, history helps people understand a nation’s development and foster their own personality and sense of pride. Those equipped with geography are usually sensitive to the environment, which is indispensable to the human survival and the sustainable development of economy.
