Medical Science Is Not A
Sophistry
( 5. Statistics And Its Instrumentality
)
In order to
ruin our TCM (Traditional Chinese
Medicine),
someone has thrown up a nonsense
that says
"The deceptive nature of TCM
lies
in its
therapeutic effect".
And in order to
peddle such trash, he even pretends
to do
statistical analysis on traditional
Chinese
medicine.
It's ridiculous
that statistics was once used as
a
gambling tool,
and it's also ridiculous now that
statistics is
often used as a tool used by a gang
of
pseudo scholars to ruin our TCM.
And those
guys are always skilled at such
ruining
and they
never fail.
This article
will analyze this malicious
application
of
statistics.
Faced with the
numerous facts that our TCM can
effectively
treat various diseases, that gang of
pseudo
scholars never acknowledge these facts.
Due to their
long-term training on how to
confidently
refuse to accept any facts they
disklike
or don't
understand, they have already
developed
a complete set
of tactics.
Specifically,
this tactic is of a two-steps:
The
first is to tampere data
samples
When faced with
a large number of facts, they try
their most to
turn a lot of facts into a few ,and
then
they continue
to turn a few facts into none !
After
such devastation, no matter how many
facts
there,
those guys can still be described as
"Sporadic
cases".
The second step is to use statistics to
ruin
our TCM
Actually, do sporadic
cases still require statistics?
That gang of
pseudo scholars can do anything
shameless as long as the effectiveness
of TCM's
treatments can
be negated, as long as it can be
negated the
scientific nature of TCM, not to
mention there are so many professional
terms
to beautify
their behavior.
For all of
them, it is not difficult to
understand
because those
guys have already concluded that
'TCM is not
scientific', and all their related
small
tricks
revolve around this conclusion to
do
gyroscopic movements.
For example,
they often regard the numerous
instances of effective
treatment of diseases in
traditional Chinese
medicine as sporadic
cases,
and say
that all of these facts are
accidental
and unconvincing
.
And thay
often say:
"The
more people can prove the efficacy,
the
better"
Actually, this is to use
correct words to lure others
into
thinking incorrectly !
Although
for a long time, that gang of pseudo
scholars have been using
statistics to make trouble
for our
TCM, it does be such tricks that have
exposed
their two
fundamental problems:
1. Lack
Of Scientific Spirit
For a
long time, that gang of pseudo
scholars
always
say "No" to a large number of facts
just
because
they don't understand or like these facts.
For it,
they first turn a large of facts into a few,
and
then they
continue to turn these few facts into none,
or into
individual cases.
And till
now, they have already been very
successful
in this
way to ruin our TCM.
But as a matter
of fact, it very pitiful !
Because it is
their attitude towards individual
cases
that exposes
their lack of scientific spirit and scientific
literacy.
At best, they
are only technical experts, and they
have nothing to
do with medical science !
As we know, it
is the attitude towards
"Individual
Cases" that rigorously tests a person's
scientific
spirit and
scientific literacy !
As is still
well known, any scholar with a
slight
scientific
spirit or scientific literacy will
cherish
every case,
especially those that he cannot
understand
temporarily or even dislike .
Because
studying such cases often broadens
one's horizons,
improves one's realm, expands
one's
knowledge, and enlightens one's thinking.
And all of
these are of great significance for
striving for
breakthroughs of technologies,
applications or
theories.
Regarding
these, just look at the history of
scientific
development to understand.
Moreover, the
understanding of any problem
will go through
a process of "None-beget-one,
one-beget-two, Two-beget-three, Three
-beget-
all"
So,
understanding individual cases is almost
an
inevitable process for us to understand
the
world.
We can learn
TCM or Western medicine in this way.
And TCM TCM or
Western medicine can also realize
diseases in
this way.
Alternatively,
please think some questions about it:
What kind
of medical theory, medical
technology
or
medical standard is born as a castle in the
air,
towering
above others, never referring to
any
individual cases?!
If you
follow the example of that gang of pseudo
scholars so that you negate any
fact that you don't
understand or like it, but in this way, how can
find
any
trace of scientific spirit or scientific literacy
within
your
therapeutic schedules ?
Is the
scientific spirit just a rotational motion centered
around
known medical theories ?
Is the
scientific spirit just a memory of
statistical
reports?
2.
Using Statistics as a Deception Tool
This is about
to play the two tricks mentioned
earlier:
2.1
Malicious tampering with samples
As they
take it for granted that 'TCM is not
scientific',
once they
discover samples that prove that 'TCM
can
effectively treat diseases', they will
invalidate all the
samples
for they only like the samples that say 'TCM
is
ineffective '.
And in this
way, those guys have already denied
all
the facts both
in our history and in reality as long
as
these facts
proved that our TCM could
effectively
cure many
diseases.
Will those guys
respect the facts that will happen
in
the future
?
Actually, they
have been tampering with a large
number of data
samples in this way and they will
always do so
.
2.1 Using statistics to
ruin our TCM
Actually, do sporadic
cases still require statistics?
As we
know, they are insulting statistics!
Because
statistical analysis of maliciously
tampered
data
samples is meaningless, and it is not
necessary
to
conduct statistical analysis on several data
samples
with a
number of not more than 10.
It can
be seen that those guys are only
maliciously
using
the Instrumentality of statistics to ruin
our
TCM
!
Objectively
speaking, those guys tamper with the
data samples at
will, so where is the opportunity
to apply
statistics ?
Is it
reasonable for the statistical result to
always
be
zero?
Is this
statistical game good for patients?!
Does this
statistical game have any scientific spirit?
Conclusion
Playing a
statistical game based on this
routine
of "Drawing conclusions first,
finding or faking
reasons
later, disregarding facts, and neglecting
therapeutic effects" is meaningless except
for
deceiving people and defrauding
research
funds!
For a
long time, those pseudo
scholars have
been
using
statistics in this way to ruin our TCM .
And in
fact, this is also a highly
sophisticated
deception or
sophistry.
