SECOND , confusing the
two different concepts of technology and science
.
From the
above discussion , it can also be seen
that
some
persons are indeed top-notch in their profession
,
but this
does not mean that they could
understand
science
.
Many
persons are just experts in the field of their
own
professional technology , but
whether they
have
scientific literacy is another matter
.
In fact ,
it is also very simple to judge whether a
person
has
scientific literacy if by the following two
criteria :
The
first criterion is to see if he reasonably
understands
and
treats objective facts .
A person
has no scientific quality as soon as he always
hysterically argues and refuses to acknowledge
all the
objective
facts that he is unable to explain or he dislike
.
And even
if he is an expert , he is only a technical talent
,
but he
has nothing to do with any scientific quality .
The second
criterion is to see whether he
tolerates
cross disciplinary
communication .
The
person has no scientific quality as soon as he
particularly dislikes technical experts from
other
majors
discussing his own professional issues , for
it is a
typical manifestation of lack of
scientific
literacy
.
Because
subject exchange is the norm in
the
development of science and technology
.
But if
someone regards his major as his own
private
space so
that he hates any other discussing his major
,
he has
nothing to do with any scientific literacy
,
even he
is a technical talent , he will stays in technology
or craft
level for ever , far away from any science .
