3.  On some occasions ,  in order to  express ideas 

quickly , it is not impossible to quibble with some

humor .

For example , if Mencius told King Xuan the logical

reasoning directly , could King Xuan understand it ?

or ,  could King Xuan stand with it ?

It can be seen that Mencius was good at arguing , 

which was the result of the troubled times of the 

Warring States Period so that such result was not

Mencius' fault at all !

Even more , it is worth noting that Mencius' style of

writing was overwhelming righteousness , but some

pseudo scholars always rebut Mencius for his 

reasoning skills .

And in this way , they have been keeping gossiping 

and gossiping about our Mencius , for they are 

always indulging in trivial issues !

How ridiculous it is !

Is this really interesting ?

4. If talking about "sophistry",  Lin Yutang's words 

are really sophistry!

As we know , in Lin Yutang's times , our natural 

science , inventions and creations were indeed 

relatively inferior , but no matter how bad , it is

hard to accuse Mencius in 2000 years ago for it !

Such sophistry is extremely strange!

Why didn't Lin Yutang reflect on his own times ,

especially the problems in that times ? 

Is it just because it doesn't pay any cost to scold the

ancients ?

So,  I think that  Mencius might say to Lin Yutang:

"You are incompetent, 

               but what does it concern me ? "
