Standard Is An Issue ------ 2

Therefore, we must adhere to the first law of medical

science:

We should discuss science according to facts , 

and meanwhile , we should discuss medical 

science according to curative effects. 

Each of us knows that Li Bai is a poet.

However, if someone determines that:

A poet who cannot speak English is not a qualified 

poet.

Then, under such the standard , even Li Bai's status 

as a poet is not guaranteed.

Actually , our TCM has been suffering from such the

standard, a rather baffling standard , for more than a

hundred years:

TCM is not medical science because Western medicine

cannot explain it.

The basic cause of this kind of paradox is the 

dislocation of standards, and then the dislocation 

of value judgment results from such  the dislocation

of standards .

In fact, Western medicine has its own criteria, while our

TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) has its own criteria

as well and the only common criteria for them are 

efficacy !.  

Otherwise, there will be endless mutual entanglement 

and disputations , which  always leave many patients 

at a loss!
