Pseudo scholar Means Nothing

(1. Introduction)

Recently , I happened to watch a video in which

the speaker talked about the toxicity of our TCM

( Traditional Chinese Medicine) interminably .

But in fact , what he had said is nothing but

pretentious verbiage.

And it is clearly malicious that this guy focused on

the toxicity of TCM and made a big fuss .

And even more it seems that it will not be enjoyable

for him if his talking lasted for less than few centuries.

In fact , What he had done is not necessary .

And there are at lease three reasons for it:

1. Our TCM has always been very frank about the

medicine toxicity so that we often say :

“ Each medicine has something poisonous .”

So our TCM has never dodged the toxicity of medicine.

and moreover, the toxicity of TCM has also included

the bias of TCM , and in this way , the standard of our

TCM is more extensive and demanding than that of

western medicine.

2、Our TCM use the toxicity or bias of medicine to

treat diseases effectively and meanwhile taking

medicine is temporary.

Therefore, the toxicity of TCM is both knowable

and controllable, and also there is no serious

problem now that science and technology are so

developed.

3、In fact, western medicine also has toxicity.

But in this video , the speaker spant a lot of time to

show the ways to cover up the toxicity of western

medicine .

Such as double blind trials , and even more, he wanted

to make us believe that western medicine will be

almost no toxic if it had passed the double blind test ,

and TMC is useless before such test , for the double

blind test is something called "International Standard".

In fact, this is a real prejudice , although many persons

take it for granted , for such prejudice is not worth to

be trusted.

As we know, we take medicine in order to treat diseases

effectively , not only to be subject to something called

"International Standard ", and after all, "International Standard" is only for reference.

In fact , there are at lease the following reasons for what

I had said:

3.1 Compared with the dynamic development of science

and technology, International Standard are always

lagging behind.

Moreover, International Standard are also dynamic,

and will be increased or decreased by referencing to

many successful or failed cases.

3.2 When we have taken a certain medicine, if it is really

effective, we needn't to care whether we have referred

to "International Standard" .

Of course, a nerd never thinks so.

3.3 When we take a certain medicine according to "International Standard" , but the medicine has no effect , We needn't to show off these to show how normative we are.

Of course, a nerd never thinks so yet.

In fact, after watching such a video , I felt very sick , just

like swallowing a fly !

And if we recall the history of our TCM , in which our

TCM has been rudely shamed for more than 100 years ,

I will vaguely feel that there is indeed a terrible group of

Pseudo Scholars lurking around us.

So,

what are these Pseudo Scholars ?
