在休息区的凳子下面，岛上的主人出现了。它叫短尾小袋鼠Quokka，澳洲笨笨的有袋动物之一。瞧瞧，用手指头戳它脑门它都不动弹，笨得咧～

这个神奇的岛屿就是因为这些小袋鼠的大量存在而被称为“老鼠岛”，因为它们的样子，像极了巨型大老鼠。

路过这里，实在受不了海水的诱惑，我们要下去浅滩里走走。自行车没锁，就放路边了，决定信任一把。

不远处都是私人游艇。当地人非常酷爱游艇，他们也很享受家庭生活，每到周末就很多人全家开着游艇出海，一家人在船上晒太阳、钓鱼、吃烧烤。。。浅滩上有三三两两正在浮潜的人。

据说这是一种新流行的水上活动，跟中国的竹筏有点像，只是更考验人的平衡能力。

恨就恨早上出门时是珀斯少见的阴沉大雾天，让我们误以为今天肯定下不了水了，于是放弃了昨晚准备好的短裤和拖鞋，穿着这么不合时宜的长裤，并且，也没带泳衣唉～～～ 郁闷的俩人，只能泡泡脚，自娱自乐了。。。

见过了玛格丽特之行的贼鸟，现在觉得馋嘴海鸥已经是很温顺的小鸟了，至少它不会对着我们手中的食物俯冲过来强行抢走，只是围着食物转而已～

4点多回到码头，还了自行车，在咖啡屋等待轮船到来。一杯爽口的冰咖啡，为老鼠岛之行画上完美句号。。。
