作者简介

　　殷生博士在企业管理、融资、咨询、营销、并购及其投资和撤资领域经验丰富。他帮助了几家中国公司成功上市。

　　他是新加坡直销协会主席，曾任亚太管理学院（Asia Pacific Management Institute）、盛世资源（Sapphire China）、思凯石油（Sky China Petroleum）和英利房产（Yingli Property）的顾问，以及在新加坡证券交易所上市的中国环保技术公司（Sino-Environment Technology）、亚洲时尚（Asia Fashion Holdings）、世达控股（Cedar Strategic Holdings）的董事长，也担任过在澳大利亚证券交易所上市的莱富士资本（Raffles Capital）的董事长和赛诺能源（Sino-Excel Energy）的执行董事。

　　他分别在新加坡管理学院和南澳大学担任了20年和17年的特聘教授。他还在新加坡人民协会人才顾问小组担任了16年的顾问。
　　殷生是新加坡首位获得2010年金桑树奖年度大奖的“最受尊敬的财经作家”，这是大本钟奖的商业/财经子项奖，由英中青年联合会（BCYF）主办。2010年，清华大学出版社出版了他的中文版《家庭财务自由》（Family Financial Freedom）。

　　他现在担任新加坡质量中心（Singapore Quality Centre）、莱富士资本及中富投资（SWIFT China）的董事长。
　　殷生拥有英国皇家特许营销学会（The Chartered Institute of Marketing）的营销学位、东亚大学（澳门）工商管理硕士和澳大利亚ADMA/麦考瑞大学研究生学位。

　　目前殷生的研究重点为个人及企业的财富管理策略。

　　Charlie In experience covers business management, capital sourcing, consulting, marketing, mergers, acquisitions investments and divestment. He was instrumental in arranging the public listing of several PRC companies.
　　He was the Chairman of Direct Marketing Association of Singapore, the adviser to Asia Pacific Management Institute, Sapphire China, Sky China Petroleum and YingLi Property. He was Chairman of the Board of Sino-Environment Technology Ltd, Asia Fashion Holdings Ltd, Cedar Strategic Holdings Ltd (all listed on Singapore Stock Exchange), Raffles Capital Ltd and was Executive Director of Sino-Excel Energy Ltd (the latter both are listed on Australian Stock Exchange).
　　He was also an adjunct faculty member of Singapore Institute of Management for 20 years and 17 years at the University of South Australia. He was the adviser to Talent Advisory Panel of the People's Association in Singapore for 16 years.
　　Charlie is the first Singaporean to be honored as the Most Respected Financial Writer of the Year Award at the 2010 Golden Mulberry Award – Business/Finance sub-category of The Big Ben Award, organized by the British Chinese Youth Federation (BCYF). His "Family Financial Freedom" book was published in Chinese by Tsinghua University Press in 2010.
　　He is currently the Chairman of Singapore Quality Centre, Raffles Capital and SWIFT China. 
Charlie holds a marketing diploma from the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing, MBA from University of East Asia (Macau) and a post-graduate qualification from ADMA/Macquarie University of Australia.
　　His current research is in personal and business wealth management strategies.

前言

 

2008年，我悄然“隐退”，不再安排任何讲学和公开演讲活动，然后把重点放在我的投资和几家公司的管理上。那些日子过得并不痛快。我认为早期取得小小成功的运气已经离我而去，我变得什么都不在乎，开始贪吃。期间有赚也有赔。这种生活并没有想像中董事会主席的身份应该带给我的那般愉快。我感觉很空虚，茫然无措。《从A到Z的财务自由之路》帮助我回顾和检视了致富之旅中的所思所行。它给我带来了好处，我希望它对你也有所助益。

基于深刻的反思和不怕羞耻的自我批判，我意识到并承认自己犯了错，祈求获得指引，鼓起忏悔的勇气，重回早期带给我成功的正确道路上。我承认在理财管理上犯了最基本的错误，并发誓一定不能让它们重演。接下来，我会毫不保留地与你分享我曾经犯过的许多错误。我希望你们能吸取我的教训，不要跌入曾经让我失足的陷阱。当然，书中还有很多积极的观点，值得反复咀嚼，以帮助我们拥有丰裕的人生，这种丰裕可能是财富，也可能是致富的经验和教训。

本书讲述的是我在理财探索之旅中的观察和体验。在这条追求财务自由的道路上，我学到了很多宝贵的教训和基础知识，我曾经忽视了这些基本的理财知识，给自己造成了严重的影响。它们或许与你有关，你可以吸收或借鉴，防止自己偏离那条虽然狭窄却径直通向财务自由的道路。本书就像是自助餐，你可以选择并尽情享用自己喜欢的章节，也希望你有足够的勇气尝试其他的理念，给自己一个机会，更加充实你的丰裕人生。

在2016年的第一周，我生平第一次站到了教堂的讲道坛上，以“上帝希望你富足”为题发表了一次演讲。会众的反馈给了我强大的动力，促使我在休息了7年之后决心重返咨询、演讲和培训的圈子。我觉得休息够了，现在到了分享我所学到的经验与教训的时候了。我和几位关系密切的合作伙伴讲了我的打算，得知我要重新出山，诸位自然满心喜欢。他们建议我写一本新书，让大家了解致富之路的波折起伏，尤其要讲讲从始于2008年的金融危机中得到的教训。我当时就置身于那场风暴的中心，也希望告诉大家它是如何影响我所认识的很多人的，当然也包括我自己在内。本书分5部分，从A到Z依次分为26个建议，其英文主题词的首字母恰好是26个字母，如此，读者易于回顾和反思关键的知识点。我在自己开办的一天强化培训班上也采用了这种格式，旨在帮助学员快速复习和反思。我希望你也能利用这种模式，刷新你的成功清单，确保自己步入正确的轨道。

本书并非万能药，无法解决所有的财务健康问题。涉及到具体的人、情况和案例，均需进行深入分析，并听取多方的意见。若是个人理财，请咨询你的理财顾问、银行专员、专业人士和导师，接受他们的指导。本书最多只能为你提供一些理念，期望它能为你的理财规划带去某种启示。

Introduction

In 2008, I “retired” from teaching and all public speaking engagements and then went on to focus on my investments and management of several companies. It was a humbling experience. I guess my earlier small successes may have got over my head and I became careless and greedy. There were money made and also money lost. This part of my life was not as pleasant as my chairmanships supposed to bring me. It was all vanity and I went into the mess. The writing of this The A to Z of Achieving Abundance for Financial Freedom helps me to re-visit and check myself in the wealth building journey. I hope it can be as useful to you as it was for me.

Upon deep reflection and shameless self-critique, I realized and acknowledged my mistakes and prayed for guidance and guts to repent and stay the course that brought my earlier success. I committed even the most fundamental error in financial management and vowed that I must never, ever to repeat them. In the following chapters, I will share with you, without reservation, the many mistakes I made. I just hope you can pick up these lessons and not to fall into the same trap like I did. Of course, there are many positive points that are worth repeating them in this book to help us in achieving abundance in our life - be it wealth or lessons in wealth.

This book is about my observations and experiences in my financial expedition. These are lessons that I have learned and the basics I have neglected that affected me badly. It may relate with you; or lessons you could use to defend yourself from deviating from the straight and narrow path to financial freedom. This book is like a buffet; you pick and savor what you fancy and hopefully you are gutsy enough to give the other ideas a try and give yourself the chance to beef-up your abundance mastery.

On the first week of 2016, it was the very first time in my life that I stand on the church pulpit and gave a presentation on “God wants you to be rich”. The congregation’s feedback gave me a strong impetus to be back on the advising, speaking and training circuit after seven sabbatical years. I guess I have rested enough and now the time is ripe to share the lessons I have learned. I shared my intent with several close associates and they were delighted that I am coming back. They suggested me write a new book on the ups-and-downs of wealth building, lessons gained from the Great Financial Crisis since 2008. I was in the eye of that storm and wanted to share how it affected the many I know including myself. This book is structured from A to Z, all 26 pointers, is to make it easy to recall and reflect on the key observations. This format is also being used in my intensive one-day seminar to allow for rapid revision and reflection. I hope you can use this format to help you do up your success checklist to keep you on track.

This book is not a panacea to all our financial health issues. Each person, each situation and each case needs thorough analysis and multiple opinions. Please consult your advisers, bankers, professionals and mentors for their guidance in all your financial endeavors. This book cannot serve you with customized solutions to your unique circumstances. The best this book can do is to provide you with some ideas and hopefully inspiration to your wealth production plan.
