Hotel Victoria

Everything is the best, especially the location.

Hotel Victoria is on the Buda side of the Danube river bank. The location is the best, with many major attractions in walking distance - the castle hill at the back, parliament just accross the river, chain bridge on the right.
There are a few free street side parking spots, better to reserve in advance if you drive. The hotel is family run, relatively small scale (but room and bed are not small at all), three rooms on each floor from 1st floor to 9th floor. The elevator only goes to 8th floor, but I heard rooms on 9th floor have balcony as extra. All 27 rooms have bay windows facing the river, with stunning view of the Danube, the Parliament Hall and the Chain Bridge.
All rooms are recently renovated, very modern and technological. Wi-Fi in guest rooms as well as on the ground floor, with code that you can ask from front desk. The wash room has motion sensored lights, but shut off a bit too quickly, if you take a long shower you need to step out and wave in the air to let it on again. I found a YouTube video recorded how they had the hotel renovated.
The breakfast is on the ground floor, a little packed but have everything you want in the morning. They even gave us bunny chocolate and eastern egg napkins when we were there in early April. Around the hotel there are many differnt kind of restaurants, we found a quite authentic Korean and Pizza Eataliano on the back street, also a supermarket next to the pizza shop.
This review is a revision from my wife wrote on another board. We both agree Hotel Victoria is the best in our short trip to Central Europe last Spring.
