Everything average but the location is very good
We booked this hotel through a famous online wholeseller because the stay includes free parking, free wifi and free breakfast. We also check the location of the hotel, found it's quite close to the downtown and main attractions.
And it is true, the location of the hotel is very good. It is in a residential area, actually we still believe part of the high-rise are residential apartments. Walk outside the community, it takes only 5 to 10 minutes to the main pedestrian zone in downtown Ljubljana, which surrounded by the dragon bridge, tri-bridges, and churches. The castle hill is just on the other side of the river, you can take the cable car or just walk up to the castle.
We arrived in late afternoon before Easter, but we still saw most of the attractions, the castle and had a meal in a fast food chain before it's getting dark.
The rooms are okay, we think the hotel floors are converted from some kind of apartments. Standard size with smaller washroom. There is only a shower, even smaller; some cracks on the washing sink; nothing fancy just the basics. No safe in the room so you need to take care of you own valuables.
The breakfast is good too, which provides everything you would find in other European hotels, and the canteen itself looks much better and more modern than the guest rooms. I only picked up wifi signal in the lobby and canteen, not in my room. They post the passcode on the receiption desk.
Overall, it's a good place, and the best one we could find in the city by the money we want to spend. I would give it 3.5 star on everything we got.
