恭喜小5怀孕，献上我当初的购物清单。是我根据很多别的朋友的信息整理的，还有很多是现在加的，盖生完孩子之后，发现很多都跟以前想象的不一样。灰色部分是很多人提到，但是我自己觉得没有用的东西。
怀孕之后会有筑巢本能，就是成天惦记着买点儿什么东西收拾收拾家，一件东西不合适就心情不好。很正常。请准爸爸们予以理解和支持。

推荐两本书：What to Expect When You're Expecting和What to Expect in
the first year。先说明一下，在亚马逊和baby center
的bbs上有很多美国爸爸妈妈们对产品的评价可以作为参考。我买东西的大原则是，时间精力充足的话，不妨等等sale找找deal，如果着急的话，冲到以下几个商店买一般不会太亏：Target，K
mart，Walmart，Toy’s R us(Baby’s R us)
，而且，只要有收据，东西完好，90天之内退换一般没什么问题。另外还有几个店属于集中卖别的大店剩下的货尾，多花时间在那里泡的话经常能淘到便宜的名牌好东西，但是种类繁复且数量不多，30天内退换兼手续麻烦：Ross
（Dress for less），Big lots，Baby Depot（Burlington）。Some places

买衣服被罩之类的应该以实用为主,最好是100%
cotton并且要针数(count)较高,摸着厚实绵密的那种(标签上都有写的).外观的花巧主要是给大人们看的,
但舒适与否却是宝宝的切身体会.

1. Crib.
Crib很重要，因为就算是孩子不肯在里边睡觉，还可以在去洗手间一类的情况下，把孩子搁进去。以为孩子在大人的床上不会掉地上，最后十有八九一定会听见梆的一声。
2. Crib
mattress。这个最好买比较硬的，一来对孩子脊椎发育好，二来对预防SIDS有一定好处。
3. Quilted
mattress
pads。这个一定要买，盖尿床事故发生得比大人希望的要频繁的
4. Bumper.
It’s actually not a nursery necessity. Baby won’t really get hurt
if his or her arms or legs get momentarily caught between the crib
slats.虽然没有用，但装上很好看。
5. Changing
space.换尿布的桌子，有没有都是一样过。我买了一个，从来没有用过，都是随时随地放倒了就换。
6. Diaper
pail.
放DIAPER的垃圾桶。如果可以每天都扔垃圾，那么这个丝毫没有必要。
7. Baby tub.

review，很多花里胡哨的东西作用仅仅是添乱。
8. Infant
seat. Bouncer seats, baby rockers, or infant activity seats.
这个bouncer十分有用。最简单的就可以，什么唱歌之类的，又费电又没用。
9. Rocking
chair or glider. Glider and Ottoman
Combination。这个很有用。直到现在我还是喜欢没事坐在上面晃一晃。
10. Baby
monitor.
大房子有用，小公寓就没用了。当妈之后对孩子的哭声特别敏感，仿佛对那个频率的声音装了特殊接收装置。
11. Baby
swing.有人说有用，我觉得没有太大的用处。

Night-light. Just use the crib light.

室内温度湿度计.
湿度计没有买，但温度计很有用。我总是一会儿担心孩子热了，一会儿担心孩子冷了，还要担心自己的感觉不准。拿着温度计就好办：哇，65度，需要盖被子。

加湿器（humidifier）我没买，觉得太吵，干燥的话把湿衣服一搭在加一大盆水就行了。
Baby’s Linens
1. Fitted
sheets (3 – 4). You might also consider half-sheets that tie or
snap onto the crib bars and go on top of the fitted sheet.
2. Waterproof
pads (2 – 6). For protecting crib, carriage,
furniture, and laps.

Terry-cloth towels (2 – 3). Hooded towels are the best, since they
keep baby’s head warm after a bath.
4. Soft
washcloths (2). $2.99六条(后来觉得用baby wipe 洗澡更方便,wash cloth
很多都不是纯棉,用着用着就起很多毛球), for clean baby's split-up,
wipe hands, later for teeth brushing etc, at least 4.
5. Square
cloth diapers (burping cloths) (12).
6. Receiving
blankets (2 – 5).
这个要多买些,至少六条,而且不要买那种棉毛布的(就是美国医院通用的那种,等孩子大一点了就用不上了),洗了以后好硬.而且尺寸有大有小,要注意尽量买大一点的.
7. Diapers.
宝宝的尿布是一项大开支，我买的是PAMPERS的，在TOYS‘ R US SALE
时25元一箱，比COSTCO便宜。建议准备一到二包NEW
BORN的，再买两箱一至二号的即可。去PAMPERS网站注册会给你寄COUPON。
Baby’s Grooming Needs
1. Baby soap
or bath liquid or foam. To be used sparingly.
2. No-tears
baby shampoo.
3. Ointment
or cream for diaper rash. Ask the doctor for a
recommendation.
4. Baby
oil.
Baby body wash ,lotion, shampoo, oil, diaper rush
cream (you don't need them for the first week or
two) 之类的常见有以下几个牌子:
JOHNSON’S(不推荐,有的孩子用了过敏,头发发黄)
Aveeno(也是强生公司的产品,比较温和, hypoallergenic
婴儿杂志报纸上经常有它的coupon)
Gerber(也是hypoallergenic的,比较便宜,baby’s r us
sale买二送一,另加上coupon 就很便宜了.
Playtex Baby
magic(也有买二送一)另外在它的网页上注册会送旅行装样品.
Mustula(好像是最温和的牌子,但是只在Nordstrom等大店里见过,而且贵些)。我都建议买mustela的。我用过医院的免费产品，还买过别的，都不如mustela的感觉好。
5. Baby
powder. Optional. Babies don’t really need to be powdered. If you
choose to use, use a cornstarch-, not talc-based product. (not for
newborn, but you may need it later, especially summer time)
6. Diaper
wipe. For diaper changes, hand washing on the go, cleanups after
spit-ups and leaky diaper incidents, and dozens of other uses. Use
cotton balls and plain water for cleansing baby’s bottom during
the first weeks and whenever diaper rash is a problem. make sure
it's non-scented, no perfume.
7. Sterile
cotton balls. For cleaning baby’s eyes, for diaper changes in the
first few weeks and when the baby has a diaper rash.

8. Baby nail

这个要在怀孕的时候就买好，生产的时候带到产房去。因为刚出生的婴儿手指甲很长，而且不规则，需要尽早剪掉，免得挠着自己。
9. Baby brush
and comb. Use only a wide-toothed comb for hair that’s wet and
tangled.这个我就是把医院的那一套带回来用，很不错。

婴儿洗衣液，一般有以下几个牌子：Dreft ，Ali
，Target自己的牌子，PUREX for baby，ALL for baby.
另外，ALL还有一种free
clear的也可以用来洗宝宝的衣物。买了，后来就不用了，也没什么后果。
Baby’s Medicine
Cabinet
这些东西我开始都没有买，后来孩子2岁之前一样一样的都买齐了，还有是孩子她爹半夜开车满城找开门的药店好容易才买的。
1.
Liquid aspirin substitute. Such as Infant Tylenol
(acetaminophen).
2. Antibiotic
ointment or cream. Such as bacitracin or neomycin, for minor cuts
and scrapes.
3. Hydrogen
peroxide. For cleaning cuts. A non-stinging spray that numbs or
relieves pain as it cleans can make the job easier.
4. Calamine
lotion or hydrocortisone cream (0.5 percent). For mosquito bites
and itchy rashes.

Re-hydration fluid (such as Pedialyte). If the baby’s doctor
recommends it for treatment of diarrhea.
6. Sunscreen.
Look for a gentle made-for-baby
formulation.我还是推荐mustela的。
7. Rubbing
alcohol. For swabbing on umbilical stump or for cleaning
thermometers, but not for rubdowns.
8. Calibrated
spoon, dropper, and/or oral syringe. For administering
medication.
9. Sterile
bandages and gauze pads.
10. Adhesive
tape. For securing gauze pads.
11. Tweezers.
For pulling out splinters.
12. Nasal
aspirator. A bulb syringe for clearing a stuffy nose.

injury.

depressors. For examining the throat.
18. Heating
pad and/or hot-water bottle. For soothing a colicky tummy or
relieving sore muscles.

Baby Feeding Supplies

四到六个，最好是90%以上棉的加一点点弹力材料，那样比较舒适又有点承托力。

PAD (disposable and some washables)
。垫在内衣里面，防止奶水弄湿衣服。

d. NURSING
CREAM，用于缓解因哺乳引起的胸部疼痛，皲裂。如果难受的话还有Gerber
的therapy。

纯母乳喂养的话要在医生的指导下用INFANT DROP 补充维生素和铁.
2. 8-ounce
size bottle with nipples and rings. Dr Brown’s 奶瓶(better prepare
a couple even if you plan to breastfeed)（BABY‘S R US $12.99三个8
OZ瓶）亚马逊评价最好的，可以有效防止婴儿吸入过多空气引起吐奶，腹痛，打嗝（等你做了爸妈就知道宝宝头三个月拍嗝是一件多么麻烦费心的事了）。唯一的缺点就是多了两个小零件,清洗有点麻烦,不过有洗碗机也没什么)。我用的是PLAYTEX的，可以参考亚马逊的评价。
3. Breast
pump. 医院里向护士提出的话，会得到Medela
的手动pump，保险会替你给钱。AVENT 的ISIS手动和MEDELA
的电动手动产品评价较好.不过,手动的还是挺累人的. (everyone says the
best one is Medela In-Style but it's pricy, you can search on
shopping.yahoo to find some cheaper prices, or go to MIT BBS
nextgeneration board). 电动的好,
如果是手动的你早早就得腱鞘炎，因为生了孩子之后用手的时候太多了。电动的缺点就是噪音大，你注意看看哪种噪音比较小。另外要可用电池的，这样你可以拿到别的房间用。如果打算母乳喂养，不论将来是否要出去工作，还是要买一个Medela的电动奶泵，胀奶或者奶不够，都可以用。
4.
Pacifier，有很多种，就看你的宝宝喜欢与否了。有的宝宝很喜欢Pacifier,也有的根本不需要。医院里会有一个免费的，可以试试孩子喜不喜欢。
5. Formula.
另一个开支的大黑洞。建议在宝宝出生之前去几个大奶粉公司的网站注册，会给你寄样品赠品和支票来。填写注册表格要讲究策略，比如有没有WIC之类的呀，或者是否打算母乳喂养呀，又或者准备用那个牌子的奶粉呀之类的，不同的填法会有不同的结果，有的问题可以不用回答。

瓶刷子（要买大的刷瓶子，小的刷NIPPLE）

晾干奶瓶架子BOTTLE RACK。

bottles。这个用锅就可以了。还有人买给奶瓶消毒的工具，我觉得没有必要。
Baby’s Wardrobe (Winter
Baby)
宝宝的衣物，这是最容易花冤枉钱的地方，准妈妈们看到可爱的小衣服总是很难会忍的住手的。其实最好等SALE，会比平时便宜很多，在TARGET，MERVYNS，ROSS，TOYS
R US, GAP经常会打折有时75% OFF甚至更低。建议不要买所谓的new
born或者0到3月的衣服，从3到6个月的开始买，那样利用率高一些。有时标签是不可信的，不同的牌子尺寸大小有些出入。我家小子不到两个月，一件所谓6到9个月的衣服居然已经快不能穿了。衣物中感觉最有用的是那种sleep
and play的小青蛙连裤衫和body
suit，不妨多买，其他的小帽子小鞋子小袜子之类的看个人喜好和出生时的季节天气了。有些衣服是带手套的，就是袖口上缝块额外的patch，可以翻过去套住袖口。另外，准妈妈要买些胸前扣扣子或者拉链的衣服，方便喂宝宝。可以买运动服，那样以后也可以穿。

Undershirts/onsies (3 – 10).
Before the baby’s umbilical stump falls off, it’s better to have
the undershirts that open in the front, with snaps on the sides.
After that, the pullover onsie style is smoother and more comfort
for the baby. These one-piece body suits snap on the bottom and
don’t ride up.
2. Stretchies
with feet (4 – 7).
3. Outfits
(2). Less practical, so limit yourself. Look for ones that snap
together at the waist so that pants don’t fall off and the shirt
doesn’t ride up.
4. Nightgowns
with elastic bottoms (3 – 6). Sleepwear for children must meet
federal standards for flame resistances; there will usually be a
label on the sleepwear advising parents whether or not that
particular item meets safety standards. Nightgowns that close at
the bottom with drawstrings (most have elastic instead) shouldn’t
be used once your baby becomes more active. Can also use
stretchies.
5. Blanket
sleepers (2 – 3). Bag sleepers shouldn’t be used past five
months.
6. Sweaters
(1 – 3). Washable and dryable as well as easy on, easy off.
7. Hats (1 –
3). Heavier-weight hats. The hats should be shaped to cover the
ears snugly but not too tightly.
8. Booties or
socks (2 – 3).
9. Washable
bibs (3).
10. Bunting
or snowsuit with attached mitts (1). Bunting should have a slot on
the bottom for a car seat strap.
Equipment for Outings
1. Stroller
and/or carriage.小推车一定要买。我用的是Graco metro
lite。后来又买过更加贵的小推车，觉得还是这个好：车大，下面的筐也大，可以装很多东西（带孩子出门总是跟搬家似的），而且重心低，有的小推车在倾斜的路面上走几乎能翻车。
2. Child
safety seat. Car seat $69.99(JC Penny Sale) 注意car seat
要买带小遮蓬并且5 point
harness就是腰上也有安全带扣子的那种。另外如果是曲柄把手的话拿着会顺手省力些。CARSEAT
BASE是用LATCH固定在后座上，这样每次把宝宝抱进包出，你可以只卸下小篮子，不用重新装CARSEAT。而CONVERTIBLE
CARSEAT一旦固定就不能动了，只能把宝宝包进包出。一般买INFANT
CARSEAT的时候都有一个BASE的。LATCH
SYSTEM你看你的车后座后背底下靠座垫的地方有没有几个象小图钉一样的钮扣，在那个地方后背和座垫中间的缝里面，你可以摸到一个铁扣，那个就是了.
Infant car seat is very useful in the first 6-9 months. first, baby
can lie on it, but convertible car seat is more upright than infant
car seat. second, you can carry it anytime and it can fit in the
shopping cart.
我买的convertible和infant
carseat都是Britax的。很好。买了carseat之后要去state
police或者其他的地方，找人帮忙inspect，看carseat装得对不对。这项服务是免费的。

bag. 一般不用自己买，在医院会有奶粉公司的赠送

数码单反相机。孩子最开始主要都是室内活动，光线不好，用傻瓜相机拍不出好照片来。如果有钱，还是早早买一个的好，省着将来后悔。

去医院之前,最好先看看医院的网页,了解一下有什么服务,比如晚上可否叫护士把孩子带到护理房力帮你看着(在医院尽量要争取多休息,回家后你就知道厉害了)比如是否有正餐以外的下午茶宵夜这类的菜单预定.很多护士会比较懒,你不问,根本不会告诉你,或者你问了,也诸多推托.应该根据你了解到的服务条款据理力争.我当初住院,曾要求护士给我的宝宝夜间护理,答曰:有剖腹产的妈妈才行且人数已满.
后来幸亏一个好心的护士看到我和老公已经累的不行,告诉我今晚孩子不多,要不要她帮我抱走看着.老公后来去护理房看看,其实只有两个孩子.那个好心的护士还帮我预定宵夜送来.(我一辈子都记得她的名字:Tytiyana一个特别的俄罗斯名字).其实后来我去翻看医院的网页,全都写的清清楚楚:可以选择夜间护理,可以叫宵夜.等等.
在医院还可以得到以下东西：
SITZ BATH: 用于洗下身缝合的伤口用，我的OB建议我用加了EPSOM
SALT（硫酸镁盐）的温水洗。另外，Aveeno 的oat meal smooth bath
也可缓解伤口疼痛和发痒。
TUKS PAD 和AMERICANE 喷剂，也是可以化解疼痛的。
SPRAY BOTTLE，洗伤口用。
DONUTZ(还像是这么发音的),也就是一个CUSHION垫子,下身因为缝针,伤口比较疼,要一个坐着舒服些.
