Objectives

1. Learn the structure of a news report.

2. Develop theme words on natural disaster.

3. Learn knowledge about earthquakes ( A video clip).

Time: 40minutes

Procedure:

1. Lead-in: the general structure of a news report.

2. Listen to news reports from “2009 listening material” (News Item 16&37).

3. Show the words on natural disaster (listed by students).

4. Two news reports from BBC & VOA (standard)

5. Watch a documentary clip(6minutes) from Earthquake(documentary).
