My  favorite  movie--“BIG FISH”

This  holiday  is  a  golden  time for me to see many  many various of famous and different movies. We can sit before the computer , drink cold sprite , blow  the air condition and enjoy the movie simultaneously  of magic  power.  In  this  holiday,  although  I  was very  busy , also  saw  not a few movies, picking  several departments  which  wrote my own  viewpoint  to  share  with everyone.

To  this  movie , my  personal  evaluation is : ★★★★★.

Big  fish, this movie is a magic legend among these Hollywood movies. It is a Christmas time movie that we could feel the strong emotion between people to people around the world . Someone comment on this movie: “If you do not watch this movie with your lover , you must watch with the person  who you want to fall in love with him or her.”

Big fish is a story that tell us lots of stories in the whole movie. As a black doctor in this movie said : These stories are more worderfully and colorful than the ture life .There are 70% part of the movie including the magic story. The story is between father and  son , tale and reality , you and me, too .

The director of this movie is Tim Burton who is very famous around the world . He was born in California in the USA in 1958. He directed many magic movies now just like “Corpse Bride (2005)”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)”, “Planet of the Apes (2001)”, “Edward Scissorhands (1990)” , “Batman Returns (1992) ” and so on. I believe these movies you must heard before ,because these are very famous .The feature of his movie could describe as following words : “There are clean and honest soul in the black world, but poor and beautiful emotion in humor .Weird can`t  cover up the ordinary love .The magic world also reveal the reality and cruel world .”

In some meanings ,we can call Tim Burton who is a “master of legend and art ”.In our memory ,there are  not even one film that  put in a real world above his movies . But those extraterrestrial , “Edward Scissorhands” , apes are very easily  to agreement to us .And to get these purpose is his magic technical ways with talent and  gift .

The movie was made by Sony and Columbia pictures company in 2003. The official website is www.sonypictures.com/movies/bigfish. You can get more information on it and you could buy copyright DVD on it .The rank of the film is PG-13. The type of this film  is  Drama　and  Comedy. The whole movie will  last  125 minutes .It also can be see as a long movie .

Big Fish is a very traditional movie .It use a lot of cartoon technologic , big view and other photograph technologic .The movie drop up the latest CG technologic which always very popular and interested put in most of movies .The advantage of this way is free from affectation , especially let some view more true and large . Such as :The elephant act in the film ,and also the lion act in the circus troupe .As we know ,animals are becoming actors who are difficult to control .In this movie ,the elephant and lion are alive and very dangerous at all .So they were very care for them .

Not only had a great director ,but also staring many gifted actors and actress.Ewan McGregor ,Albert Finney ,Jessica Lange, Steve Buscemi , Billy Crudup, etc. There also are many good workers . Writer is Daniel Wallace and John August , produced by Bruce Cohen  and Dan Jinks , art by Dennis Gassner , edited by Chris Lebenzon. Hard-working is very important .

Especially actor－Ewan McGregor , this man who come from the Great Britain ,  acted many famous rolls  in many  films. Just like “Star Wars(1999)”, “Black Hawk Down (2001)”, “Moulin Rouge (2001)”, “Trainspotting (1996)”and so on .It can be say ,the only he need is a good drama ,then he can put his heart and soul in his play .

Outstanding director , producer and actor made a remarkable film , I think .

If  I have a kid, could I tell him or her the story which the father tell his child the “Big Fish ” story as that movie told us ? I  can  not  sure and decide .It`s  very  important to help our children to build the imagination and health outlook on life .But the problem is that the truth in our life and competition is not just like the simple as a tale .In  my opinion ,the son in the movie always does not like the story which his father repeat by thousands of times .Didn `t  he grow up ,didn’t he have a 10-pound note nice job ,and didn’t he have a very beautiful wife and live very happy ? He use the good communication to deep understand his father .Although his father repeat the story one by one time ,the son`s life also in the normal basic life ,so near to the reality  world . I can not tell why ,but it is our life .

The whole story through this movie is that big fish .May  be this big fish have already lived in this river for hundreds of years, maybe it is unexist at all .The big fish is freely and happily ,also a nation spirit which the American people always uphold .In this meaning ,in the last of the film ,his father become a big fish and jump in the river .That moment which give all American spectators a legend ,magic and changeful satisfaction .How wonderful it is !

In this true society ,tale is not so popular than before .The director Tim Burton is a successor of tale .Not only “Edward Scissorhands (1990)” but also “Batman(1992)” even “Ed Wood (1994)”. All these movies are permeated with a tale .As he said in a conference : “ I love tales . I want my movies to be a real tale .” The latest film Big Fish is a unbelievable tale which give us warm and the most beautiful sunny in our heart .

I think it is very ordinary that diverge the truth when somebody tell us about his own story and history .One aspect is you can not remember the things very clear as time goes by .And the other aspect is the need of our life .In this case ,the magic stories that the father told in the Big Fish is so normal . Especially is what he expand the fact to one hundred percent , and including the color of legend . When the time goes by ,we can understand the true meaning in one time .

I think there are some disadvantage in this movie .There are too much legend scene in it ,and also too fast transform .Some of these could not give audiences  enough time to think and review deeply .If the movie will delate  some unimportant parts and add some parts which the communication between father and son .Maybe it is more better at last .Because at the beginning of the film ,the father and the son are short of communication .And the father will die at the end of the movie so his son come home to see him .So at last ,through the whole movie retell ,the son finally understand his father`s real idea .It is a warm and fragrant ending .

At last in this movie ,the black doctor ask the son : “ Do you like the true fact that you have heard from other persons or the tale your  father told you every time ? Your  father have the right choice .” Simple words stand by great meanings .I think when the son grow up , to become a father too , finally would know the true meaning of his father do .Above all , we are too young to understand these .

It is a great film , I believe you will like and enjoy it with your true love deeply in your heart .
