2012年5月12日从濂竹乡黄坛村杨梅岗自然村上牛头山，看到牛头山山顶的映山红正是盛开，但杜鹃长廊上的映山红已经开过了，云锦杜鹃还要等些时日。上周言内发帖《星期六（526）再访牛头山云景杜鹃》，由于周六中雨把行程调到了周日。本来计划还是从杨梅岗上山的，但从杨梅岗登顶这条路已走过多次，我建议从濂竹乡刘坑村的直源自然村上山。
    昨天（2012年5月27日），天气预报是“阴，有时有小阵雨”，我们按计划早上乘7：15遂昌至武义的班车，到濂竹乡刘坑村直源自然村下车，言内、汉松树、老周、阿利、毕老爷、逍客、辛巴和我一行8人，从直源经乃尼坳林场上牛头山顶峰，然后经天师坟、九里廊、云峰寺（天师殿），到云峰镇上畈村上面点的灵公寺，坐上来接的小车返回家。
    昨天是今年第四次登顶（加上去年的一次已是五上牛头山了），加上九盘岭上牛头山探路和走上荷花地之巅峰，今年已是第六次进入牛头山了。

    我在直源自然村教过一年书，这个自然村的村民待我非常好，且之前到乃尼坳林场背过树（把树从乃尼坳林场背到直源自然村），记得乃尼坳林场到直源自然村的路是顺溪下的，但由于造了公路原来的古道大多不复存在了。

    走了一段古道后，出现了两条分道，我们随着明显些的那条道垂直上到了公路，看到了这条瀑布，另外那条道应该是古道，是经过这条瀑布的。
