打开这些照片，也打开了我的记忆之门。毛利人、酋长夫人、火山、喷泉、火山泥浆，这些字眼儿再一次带着亘古的神秘与久远的美丽涌现到我的面前。

                           罗吐鲁阿（Rotorua）

    罗吐鲁阿这座“火山上的城市” 位于罗吐鲁阿湖南畔，距奥克兰(Auckland)市221公里，火山和地热是它的两大奇观，也是毛利人聚居区和著名的旅游胜地，人口54700人。

    踏入小城，一股特有的气味扑鼻而来，这充溢了小城的每一个角落就是浓浓的硫磺味。小城四处热气蒸腾，别有一番风味。

    华卡雷瓦雷瓦（Whakarewarewa）喷泉位于罗吐鲁阿市东南部，属间歇性喷泉，每五个小时喷一次，每次持续20～30分钟。有经验的导游早上9点前就带领我们来到了喷泉旁。据说它每天早上9点都会喷射。擎天水柱从喷泉倾泻而出，高达数十米，蜿蜒升腾直达高处。对着太阳的一面不断有彩虹呈现，随着水柱形态及大小的变化而改变位置，蔚为奇观。http://s8/middle/56ea9b2chbcb190e21d17&690

    火山泥浆池不断地翻着泡泡，像开锅熬煮的稀饭，也像螃蟹在说着悄悄话，真的很难将它与那些曾经发生过的惨烈故事联系在一起。

                              毛利文化村

     毛利文化村与华卡雷瓦雷瓦地热保护区毗邻。毛利人是罗吐鲁阿的土著居民，早在1000多年前，他们就乘坐独木舟离开家乡哈瓦基来到这里。他们以温泉为邻，擅用地热煮食，把经地热烘烫的薄薄石块放进地洞内，再把食物烩熟，别具风味。

   木雕    眼睛是用五彩七孔鲍鱼壳镶嵌的，脸上的刺青越多表示他的地位越高。手指有三指、四指。三指是男性，代表了生、活、死。四指是女性，代表了生、活、生育和死。

    看到这些穿衣服的马了吗？为什么？我也很好奇。导游说这些都是赛马，这样做有两个目的：一是保持体型（保温，从而减少饮食），二是加沙袋负重。

    其实在途中我看到最有趣并让我念念不忘的却不是这些，而是排着长长的队列去挤奶的牛。导游故意让我们下午1：30分左右出发，就是为了让我们赶上这精彩的一幕。

   在澳洲和新西兰，牧场的管理很现代化，牧场主住得离牧场较远，也不必每天到牧场工作。政府规定按牧场面积饲养牲畜，15平养一头牛。每个牧场主都必须把牧场分成21块，每天牲畜们吃一块草地，这样21天轮一次，以保证牲畜每天都能吃上最好的草。牧场主在头牛的脖子下挂一个BB机，到挤奶的时间就给BB机发个信号，头牛听到信号就往挤奶房走，后面的牛也就依次跟上。不挤、不吵，井然有序，这一点真比我们国人的素质高很多。奶房我没进去过，据导游说，里面有个圆形的食槽，奶牛围着槽子吃着草，听着轻音乐，挤着奶，很舒服。平均7秒钟就可以挤一头牛。真的很幸运，我看到了牛儿排队去挤奶这个好玩的场面，可惜没有拍下来。

                          汉米而顿

     汉米而顿是个英国将军。1862年“毛利王运动”中，指挥英军历经三年打败了毛利人，后来的定居为了纪念他将小城以他的名字而命名。像所有的澳、新的小城一样，洁净、清新、优雅是它的风格。装饰一新的别墅、修剪整齐的草坪、盛开的鲜花，让你不得不赞叹主人的品位以及对生活的热爱。http://s13/middle/56ea9b2chbcb32dc266ac&690
