分类: 六级写作

真题1.

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an explaining why it is unwise to judge a person by their appearance. You can give examples to illustrate your point. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

范文:

第一段:

(解释含义)An inspiring saying goes that “it is unwise to judge a person by their appearance”. Simple as the saying is, its meaning is profound and thought-provoking. Evidently, it is meant to tell us that a person’s physical appearance can be deceptive and that we should take more factors into account when judging a person.

第二段写法一:

(举例说明之历史事例)Actually, history abounds with examples to prove this saying. Here I can think of no better illustration of the proverb than the experience of Lu Xun, the great modern Chinese writer, who was refused the access to an important conference just because of his common clothes. Another case in point is Ji Xianlin, the great late linguist and professor in Beijing University, who was often taken by students as a common worker because of his clothing.

第二段写法二:

(举例说明之个人经历)Actually, history abounds with examples to prove this saying. Taking a look around, we can also find examples too many to enumerate. Here I can think of no better illustration of the proverb than the experience of my own. I often go jogging on the playground on campus, where there are usually some mothers taking care of their babies. One day, I talked to one of the mothers after jogging. I did not show enough respect to her until she told me that she was a professor in this university! Obviously, I was deceived by her ordinary appearance.

第三段(本段也可以与上段合并,或者在其他部分字数够多时可以不写):

 (分析原因)A number of factors can account for the phenomenon, but the following might be the critical one: a person’s look is often inconsistent with his or her inner world or social status according to worldly criteria.

第四段:

(我的做法)Bringing what has been discussed into a conclusion, we may say that it is unsafe to make decisions about a person only through his physical appearance. Personally, I will not act like this in the future. What I will do is to see people in an all-sided and objective way. In a word, I truly agree with the proverb given in the directions and will take the right actions in my life and work in the future.

真题2.

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an explaining why it is unwise to jump to conclusions upon seeing or hearing something. You can give examples to illustrate your point. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

范文:

第一段:

(解释含义)An inspiring saying goes that “it is unwise to jump to conclusions upon seeing or hearing something”. Simple as the saying is, its meaning is profound and thought-provoking. Evidently, it is meant to tell us that one should be cautious in drawing conclusions about things around, especially in the world today, where an increasing number of fakeries coming into being: fake teeth, fake noses, fake breasts and even fake news.

第二段:

(举例说明)While history abounds with examples to prove this saying, taking a look around, one can also find examples too many to enumerate. Here I can think of no better illustration of the proverb than the following one. In the past months, a message has been widely spread online: several monks look exactly the same as when they are alive though they have been dead for many years. People who pass on the message are said to be blessed with good luck. The truth, however, is rather ridiculous: those “saint monks” are nothing but wax figures.

第三段(本段也可以与上段合并,或者在其他部分字数够多时可以不写):

 (分析原因)A number of factors can account for the phenomenon, but the following might be the critical one: it is people’s desire for fame and money or other evil motives that catalyze these fake things.

第四段:

(我的做法)Bringing what has been discussed into a conclusion, we may say that it is unsafe to jump to conclusions about what we see or hear. Personally, I will not act like this. What I will do is to see things in an all-sided and objective way. In a word, I truly agree with the proverb given in the directions and will take the right actions in my life and work in the future.

真题3.

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an explaining why it is unwise to put all your eggs in one basket. You can give examples to illustrate your point. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

范文:

第一段:

(解释含义)An inspiring saying goes that “it is unwise to put all your eggs in one basket”. Simple as the saying is, its meaning is profound and thought-provoking. Evidently, it is meant to tell us that one should be cautious in making decisions about the way to invest our time, money or energy. One should not put all of his resources on one stake, especially a risky one; instead, he should distribute them to several different items, so that he might secure himself some payback at least from one or two of them.

第二段:

(举例说明)While history abounds with examples to prove this saying, taking a look around, one can also find examples too many to enumerate. Here I can think of no better illustration of the proverb than the management of money by a family in current China. You can never guess which is a safer investment: housing, stock or bank savings. If you invested all of your income into stock several years ago, you might find yourself a beggar today. Similarly, if you have put all of your resources on the investment of housing, you may find yourself homeless years later.

第三段(本段也可以与上段合并,或者在其他部分字数够多时可以不写):

 (分析原因)A number of factors can account for the phenomenon, but the following might be the critical one: the development of things is often unpredictable.

第四段:

(我的做法)Bringing what has been discussed into a conclusion, we may say that it is unsafe to focus all of our time, money or energy on one thing while turning a blind eye to others. Personally, I will not act like this. What I will do is to distribute the risk by taking into account different choices. In a word, I truly agree with the proverb given in the directions and will take the right actions in my life and work in the future.
