1. abide by
   If you abide by a law, an agreement, or a decision, you accept it and behave in accordance with it.
   EX: Germany and Russia agreed informally to abide by the agreement
 
2. accede to
   If you accede to someone's request or opinion, you allow it or agree with it, usually rather unwillingly.
   EX: He was upset by my refusal to accede to his request.
 
3. account for
   If you accout for something that has happened or that you have done, you explain how it happened or why you did it.
   EX: He was always prepared to account for his actions
 
4. acquaint with
   If you acquaint with something, you know about it and are familiar with it.
   EX: Students became acquainted with all aspects of biology before choosing the course.
 
5. act on
   If you act on or act unpon advice or information, you do what has been advised or suggested. Act unpon is more formal.
   EX: Why didn't you act on my warning?
