网上有很多关于so that / such that的解释，但都不完备，有的甚至误导。
两者既关联，又有区别。
1 连用的时候："so that"，"such that"，连接原因和结果，区别在于原因的性质。
"so
that"：表示客观陈述的原因，如下雨、迟到、电话，并不强调动作的方式、程度。
"such that"：强调原因的方式、程度。
He checked carefully, so that the mistakes were caught.
他仔细检查，结果发现了错误。
I spoke to my teacher such that she took me to the
principal.
我和老师说了那么多(或说了那么重、那么诚恳)，她才带我去见校长。
2 分开用："so...... that"，"such......that"，差别在于连接的词性
2.1 接形容词/副词：只能用"so...... that"
The meteor storm was so beautiful that we watched it all
night.
这场流星雨很漂亮，我们看了整整一夜。
He runs so fast that we can not catch up with him.
他跑得很快，我们追不上。
2.2 接名词的时候：两者强调的角度不同
"so...... that"：强调的是数量的多少，后面只跟4个词：
so+ many / few + 可数名词+ that； so+
much / little + 不可数名词+ that。
The child had so many toys that he could not decide which to
play.
这个小孩有很多玩具，不知道玩哪个才好。
There was so little food that many people died of
hanger.
食物太少了，很多人死于饥饿。
注意：如果little表示体积小，应该用such, 如such a little
girl.
"such......
that"：强调的是质量，或者，除了上述4个表示名词数量的情况，其余都用such......that。
such + a +形容词 + 单数可数名词 + that；
such + 形容词+不可数或者复数名词+ that ;
such + a + 带有判断意味的名词(如idiot, lier) +
that.
It was such a beautiful meteor storm that we watched it all
night.
这是一场非常漂亮的流星雨，我们看了整整一夜。
It was such a good movie that many people watched it.
She has such beautiful eyes that I can't take my eyes off
her.
No one is such a fool that he loves death.
