    宁都县田头城隍庙元宵“妆古史”活动，已延续近400年。

    首先由庙里集中用木制衙轿式的小轿，打造底座与框架，使用时以彩绸、纸花、金银首饰装饰故事六台，第一台装的是《天官赐福》，内坐一童男扮演天官，表示新的一年家家升官发财。第二至第六台内坐童男童女装扮成故事人物，除《天官赐福》外，其他古史内容每年不尽不同。

“妆古史”活动从城隍庙开始出发，最后又回到城隍庙。每台“古史”有4人抬，四人保护，互相换班，并配一堂西皮锣鼓。队伍前后各配3把三眼铳，三铳齐响，俗称“打九子炮”。“ 妆古史”队伍经过的村庄鞭爆响个不停。方园百里都有人前去参观。
