Apply
Among the vocabulary activities included in the TTK, which one(s) would you like to apply to your vocabulary teaching? How would you like to apply it? Would you make some adaptations?
答1:I like the vocabulary tools most because they help me find specific and proper examples for activities. I was worried that how can I come up with some riddles if I want to do Word riddle activity.
I’d like to try Word bingo. This game can be applied before the class to help students review vocabulary based on a particular theme or topic that they have been studying. The teacher provides a list of words. Students draw 9 squares (3x3) on a piece of paper, choose 9 words in the list and put them in the squares randomly. The teacher calls out one word in the list at a time. Students shout "Bingo!" when they get 3 squares in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally. The first student to get 3 squares in a row is the winner. Alternatively, you can play this game in groups. You may let students work in groups. In the group, one is the caller and others listen and see if they have the word. Students shout "Bingo!" when they get 3 squares in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Winner is the next caller and the game can be played for more than one round.
回1:Word bingo is a good way to make students attentive.
答2:I like word riddles very much because word riddles can arouse students' interest and whenever the answer is right, they will have a sense of fulfillment. And I'd like to make a adaptation that is it would be better if the students can be separated into several groups and calculate their scores, and the best can win some small gifts.
回2:Your adapatation balances cooperative element and competitive element.
