I. Analysis of the teaching material
1. Status and Function
This
part is for listening comprehension,which is about personal traits
and how to compare friends.
2. Teaching goals
(1)Knowledge object
(2)Ability object
(3)Moral objects
b.To learn to discover others’ advantages and learn from others;
c.To enlarge the Ss’ abilities of making good friends.
3. Teaching Key Points and Difficult Points
Teaching key point: To train the Ss’ ability of listening comprehention.
Teaching difficult point: To try to make the Ss understand the listening material and finish the listening task sucessfully.
II. Analysis of the students
The students have had some listening and oral experience about what good friends are. But it’s not enough for the Ss to understand the listening content easily. So in the process of teaching, I will preset some easier speaking and listening practice.

IV. Teaching procedures
(1)Let the Ss listen and sing an English song---“the more we get together”.
(2)Ask the Ss to look at the chart and capture the relative information about the listening material.

⑴Extensive listening: Play the recorder the first time and ask Ss to get the main information about what Holly and Maria like about their best friends, and write it down in the chart.
⑵Intensive listening: Play the recorder again. The Ss are expected to get more specific and crucial information about Holly and Maria, so they can finish 2a part step by step.
