about 400 years ago, there was a great king who ruled in central indian area. he was almost great in everything. he built magenificent palace, he won the battle to the most powerful enimies, he managed his emperor in prosperous development. except,,,
only one thing he was not great at all. he had no son. which means all his great doings would benefit to others. he worried, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. until...
one day he met a muslim saint in a mountain cave 40 kilometers away from the kingdom's captital, agra. after some secreterious ritual ceremonies, a son was sent by god. in order to thanks the saint's great help, the king decided to bulid a islam temple for him. forthermore, he also thought this mountain must be blessed by god, and the FENGSHUI here also should be good. then he decided to rebuilt a brand new capital here in fatehpur sikri. of course his ministers flattered whatever their lord's doing."your majesty, the idea is fantastic! the new capital will live as long as u, that is forever!"

new city began to build without any researching. no one noticed that this new capital was built on a desert area, where only wind no water. being shortage of water, the new capital only used for 14 years soonly abandoned after the great king's death.

well, part of minister's words realized.
for 400 years thereafter, nobody's living made this place look like a ghost city. only structures well-preserved.

now i am siting on the steps in front of indian gate, the cities main gate. the highest gate in asia even nowadays, which partly symbolized the booming time created by that great king.
through the gate, i saw the kingdom's acient glory. all building built by red stone. none of two has same shape. the horse stale is big enough to house an elephant.

the king's story make me think of another one happened in china.
no one can deny the great achievements by chairman mao. but in his late years, the cultural revolution trigued by him has been already judged as a disarter by history.
i smell something in common inside these two stories.when someone get unparallized achievements, his self-ego would easily explode to peak point. at this point, whatever he said is bible should be written in history, whatever he did is wonderful right deserving all others supports without any condition. which always result bad things happen. and this is a truth worldwide, not only in india or in china.
so be modest and self-considerable. always

i set my camera in timing function. put it on a tripod in a still place. which make every pic has sae angle and shadow. then i stand in different places with different poses in front of camera. later i will use some photo edit software to make all mes in only one pic.
maybe it is the best way to show this city really has ghosts hunging.

the saint's tomb built near the indian gate, which was pilgrimed by flooded childless women. as routine, they put a colorful blanket on his coffin.
