10月17日，北京电影学院迎来65周年校庆。300多位明星云集该校，让校庆变成了电影人的大联欢。

1950年，北京电影学院正式成立。据统计，65年来，电影学院师生参与拍摄的影片超过全国电影生产总数的64％。其中，不少学子成为中国电影的中流砥柱。为了表达对于中国电影110周年的致敬，校庆现场特意安排了“从这里出发”的红毯环节。红毯长度也设定为110米，环绕校园设立，被称为“史上最长红毯”。

当天的校庆晚会还颁出了各大奖项，表彰那些为新中国电影创作有突出贡献的电影工作者。张艺谋等人获得特殊贡献奖，谢飞等人获得无私奉献奖，王小帅、张嘉译、顾长卫、尹力、黄渤等人获得电影创作贡献奖。
