6月10日，北京警方接获朝阳群众举报，称朝阳一居民区有人吸食毒品。警方赶往现场将嫌疑人边某（化名）抓获，据悉边某为知名主持人，为长春人， 有网友猜测边某为央视主持人边策。随后晚间，平安北京发布消息，确定主持人边某在京吸毒被查，并通报称警方进入房间时边某已坠楼身亡。

此消息一出，边策的圈中好友都非常震惊，但是吃惊之余更多的是对他的离开表示惋惜。
