徐静蕾休息了两年，几乎从公众视野中消失，说起这两年的生活，她坦然回答，“休息这两年，我的生活层面非常好。这两三年我都是在调整自己的心情，体验到的都是非常美好的东西，来自家人，来自男朋友，爱是一个特别伟大的东西。当心里都是爱的时候，你看这个世界是不一样的。是正面，是积极，是有爱的。每部戏我都会带着自己的感受，或者当时的兴趣，这个时候我感受到最多的爱，所以我一定要拍一个爱的电影。”
