The defensive player on this play winds up and makes unnecessary contact with his arm to his opponent's head area. This is a non basketball play toward a vulnerbale player with a high potential for injury. The penalty for a Flagrant 1 is two free throws for the offended player, and his team would also retain possession of the ball.
