  想不到我们工作所在这个三分之二国土埋在撒哈拉沙漠里的西非国家，也是处于动荡之中、面临多事之秋。这不，政变的余波还没过去，又有消息传来，政府军被基地组织打了伏击，损失了好几辆军车不说还搭上了十数位士兵性命。

  袭击事件发生在tourine，距离我们工地驻地不足100公里。说不定半夜听到枪炮声以为春雷炸响：

  图中的zouerate就是我们工地所在的全国第三大城市，据说有四万五千人口的矿山城祖埃拉特。这里生产的矿石靠唯一的650公里铁路线运输到第二大也是港口城市努瓦迪布。从祖埃拉特到首都距离700公里，一半是沥青公路，一半是沙漠土路。越野车跑一整天才到。

  我们驻地附近就是兵营。常有机会看到军车载着荷枪实弹的士兵在公路上飞驰而去，执行巡逻任务。这次看到新闻说遭到伏击的军车就是从zouerate军营出发。猛一想，殉职的士兵中就有平时与我们擦肩而过的年轻人，不禁打了个冷颤。

  人类争战何时休。这个联合国被公布为最不发达国家的荒漠，除了天灾更有人祸。可怜。可悲。

NOUAKCHOTT - Gunmen attacked a Mauritanian army patrol in the north of the Saharan Islamic state early on Monday, a Mauritanian security source said.

The source, who asked not to be named, said the attack took place in the Tourin area near Zouerate, in Mauritania’s remote desert north where al Qaeda militants have claimed past attacks against military targets.

Casualties from the attack were taken to a local hospital, the source added, but could give no further details.

Mauritania’s main iron ore mining operations are located in the Zouerate region.

Following the Aug. 6 coup that toppled Mauritania’s elected president, al Qaeda’s North Africa wing, which had claimed a previous attack against the army in December, called for a holy war to establish Islamic rule in the West Saharan country.

Nouakchott, 20 sept (AMI) - La Présidence du Haut Conseil d'Etat a rendu public un communiqué aux termes duquel un deuil national de trois jours est décrété sur toute l'étendue du territoire national "suite à la lâche agression perpétrée par l'organisation terroriste Al Qaida au Maghreb Islamique contre une patrouille de nos forces armées nationales au nord est de Zoueirate et dans laquelle douze martyrs composés de onze militaires et un civil sont tombés sur le champ d'honneur".
