在安装MathType的时候（现在最新版本是6.6a）,会提示说MathType与当前的ms office的版本不兼容，从而在office中也无法编辑公式了。其实不然，这只不过是MathType不知道自己是否与office兼容而已，要在office中继续使用公式编辑，就需要进行如下设置:

(1)在MathType的安装目录下，~\MathType\Office Support\，找到两个文件，复制

MathType Commands 6 For Word.dot

MathType Commands 6 For Word.dotm

(2)同样在MathType的安装目录下，~\MathType\MathPage\, 找到MathPage.wll,复制

将上面所复制的文件粘贴到MS Office 2010的安装目录

~\Microsoft Office\Office14\STARTUP\下,然后重新开启Office，稍等（设置宏），弹出一个提示，可以在设置中关闭，然后就可以顺畅地在office2010中用MathType了。  

   以下是一个处理方法，下面还有一个类似的处理方法：

把上面的文件复制到D:\用户\用户名\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP

我试了上面两个方法，word2010启动时，都出现了

word 2010 启动 isual basic for application 以下隐藏模块存在编译错误:UIDeclar

点击“启动内容”后，又出现了如下的错误“由于宏安全设置,无法找到宏或红被禁用”

无论怎么点击确定，以及根据提示的帮助去做，都不能解决。

进入到GOOGLE 搜索这个问题，终于在Design Science公式网站 http://www.dessci.com，给出说明：

MathType 不能和Office 2010 64bit兼容啊！！！！

   MathType 和   Office 2010 32bit兼容应该没有什么问题。
