西双版纳森林保护区，长满遮天古木，百年老树，有连续繁衍了一百多万年的“活化石”植物天料木、桫椤、鸡毛松，还有林中巨人望天树，板根大王四薮木。可见“老茎生花”，西双版纳植物绞杀等自然现象。
