WEISHI SERIES MULTIPLE LAUNCH ROCKET SYSTEM
The WS-1 302mm multiple launch rocket was developed by Chengdu-based Sichuan Aerospace Industry Corporation (SCAIC) in the late 1980s for the PLA. The system did not enter batch production.

The WS-1B is a long range artillery rocket weapon system developed from the WS-1. The rocket uses an improved rocket motor to achieve a greater firing range.

WEISHI SERIES MULTIPLE LAUNCH ROCKET SYSTEM
The WS-1 and WS-1B rocket launch truck is available in a 4, 6 or 8 launch tube configuration. The system is operated in a defensive or offensive role for deployment against targets deep behind enemy lines including military bases, massed armoured divisions, missile launch site, airports and airstrips, harbours and military industrial bases.

WEISHI SERIES MULTIPLE LAUNCH ROCKET SYSTEM The latest WS-2 multiple launch rocket system is based on a 8X8 launch truck chassis which mounts six box-shape launchers. The 400mm rocket is fitted with an inertial terminal guidance for high accuracy and has a maximum firing range of 200km.

The DZ-88B Firing Command Truck is equipped with a radio communications and data transmission system; a firing and control computer and simulation trajectory system; a global positioning system; a gyro-theodolite directional system plus infrared ranging system; a field meteorological detection system; and a communication control unit.
WEISHI SERIES MULTIPLE LAUNCH ROCKET SYSTEM
The 302mm free rocket used by the WS-1 is fitted with a FG-42 rocket motor which gives a maximum firing range of 100km. The improved WS-1B rocket is longer and powered by an improved FG-43 motor, giving a maximum range of 180km.
