I am thinking about one phenomenon, which may or may not be useful in your writing. I call it "reverse racism and multiplior effect"--that is, reverse racism may not seem very harmful at first glance, but actually it is disasterous due to the "multiplior effect".
For example, I have noticed that recently there are more Americans interested in learning Chinese ( my B school has a Chinese class for them already); and before I was saved by Lord I had met 3 Americans who can understand Chinese language pretty well. Except for the American writer, the other 2 had not lived in China before, they told me they learned the language simply by asking the Chinese around to teach them the language. And after 1 or 2 years, they can understand the language. You know, so many Chinese live in U.S for a decade or more but failed to improve their English...That's because the Americans as a whole do not want to help Chinese with their language, but when an American wants to learn Chinese, lots of Chinese are willing to help---it is a subtle impact of reverse racism. Language is just one thing, but it is an extremely important first step. To understand the very sophisticated rule of games, the inside information, the know-hows of a certain society, one has to master the language first---So, there is an "multiplior effect". Reverse racism put the Chinese in unfavorable conditions in many aspects due to "multiplior effect". I have the feeling that maybe you should elaborate this a little bit so that your readers can understand that this is no trivial issue.
