听朋友说麦迪逊附近有四处知名景点，其中一处就是今天IFC组织去游览的地下溶洞（Cave of the Mounds），虽然我的家乡桂林就是以此闻名，但是还是想体验异国风情，看看有何区别：

到了景区入口。门口的标志十分醒目Cave of the Mounds——国家自然地标（National Natural Landmark）

景区内各类植物品种繁多，有很多都异常美丽。

我们到得早，所以就先在野餐区吃午餐。

买好票后就排队进洞参观了……这是入口？怎么又要进店啊？！

进去才发现这是入口和礼品店的结合。像上次参加的酿酒厂一样，都是把入口整成了一个商店……看来美国人还是很有商业头脑的。

各式各样的石子。可以单颗买，也可以装满一袋（Fill the Bag）

我们到另一个洞室前需要穿过一个狭窄低矮的通道，这样比较有探险的感觉！

在大家的惊叹声中，我们结束了这次溶洞之行，最后回头拍张照片以示纪念。

出到洞外，来到景区内的一个特色景点——采石场寻宝（Quarry's Edge Gemstone Mine）

这就是用流水筛选矿石的古老设备

小孩子们把买来的掺杂了各式矿石的泥土倒入方形的筛子中，在流水的冲刷下，奇异的矿石都露了出来。一时间到处充满着小孩兴奋的尖叫。

我们在景区周围参观，先漫步走上了长满绿草的高处。

这边视野开阔，景色怡人。

这个用栏杆围起来的地方是一个坍陷的坑，估计下面就直通我们刚才参观过的溶洞吧。

草地上很多黄色的花，有人说是油菜花，有人说不是……不管是什么，反正很好看，贴近了来张特写。

这是一种“特别”的白花……特别之处不在花，而在它银色的叶子，颜色让人感觉是喷漆上去的。

就是电影《冰河世纪》片头那只超可爱超搞笑的松鼠为之痴迷和坚持的果子！

比较满意地结束了这次的溶洞参观之旅。

回程之前碰到一群衣着统一的小孩，原来是“赫赫有名”的童子军（Boy Scout）啊！
