昨天送走了洋老头一家，今天“不出意外”分别收到了他们的Thanks
Letter。
昨天在送别他们的路上，老头郑重地对我说，他们前一天晚上商量过，如果他到北京工作的话，希望能够亲自教授我小女英语。尽管我老早就知道他希望来中国教授的是Business English，不能是小朋友英语，但他的话，我很相信。他们喜欢小女，小女也特别喜欢这个白胡子老头，整天Peter挂在嘴边。临分别前，还一再赖着要去他们的房间“和Peter玩10分钟”，结果是近1小时才被我拽回睡觉。
老头的Thanks Letter中，写了一段火车上的趣事，从中可以看出，老头的内心是那么柔软，生命中遇到的一切竟是那么的magical：
...Let me tell you about a magical episode on my journey home today. A little girl was passing along the train corridor and she stopped frozen in her tracks and stared intently in apparent amazement at me; I said a nice hello, and off she went. Some 20 minutes later, she came back, squatted down beside me and started chatting; she told me all about her ambitions to see the world, to learn English well and particularly to visit the US, and she wondered why I spoke English in that I was not American. Her name was Cathy, and she was only nine years old. The other passengers were all spellbound by this brave, self-confident little being. You can guess who it made me think of.
的确，如他所言，收获太丰富了。包括不可思议地碰到了30年前发小的女儿。
洋老头的摄影也相当有水平，有这个洋老头在身边，肯定还有很多的奇趣事发生，我当想想办法...
