早上起来, 天灰蒙蒙, 和昨天预报一样。

央视已经开始直播， 全国从上海到西藏山南，一个几千公里的观测带，多少万人翘首以待，说是还有成千上万的人飞到中国来看，估计他们要失望了。

做完我的咖啡， 打开电脑， 自由职业的准则是按时按计划工作， 不然就松懈了。

朋友从明尼苏达机场发来短信， 问天气咋样， 在等待转机去一个更小的城市。我抬头看天，它在那里，有如新月，天依然是灰的，淡淡的云翳。

It’s 7:15, when the 3^rd alarm rings. I looked out of the window, grey, foggy, as the weather forecast said.

CCTV has started live broadcasting of the eclipse, which comes to China every 300 years.  Last time when it happened, it was still the Qing Dynasty, and in those days this is considered an inauspicious phenomenon.

From Shanghai to South Tibet, a belt of over 3,000 km, millions of people go out of home, await to the magic moment of the sun hiding behind the moon. Thousands of tourist flying into China to see this moment, and I guess many of them will be disappointed. Most of the areas are with heavy clouds, some evening with raining.

8:50. I made my coffee, came to the desk, switched on the laptop, and looked out of the window.

And, it’s there, like the new moon, half behind a light piece of cloud. Shy, hesitating…
