There had be no rain for monthes.The first month was ok,then the second there was a little less of water,this is the third,and many people in the village died,because there was less of water.

Everyboby prayed hard at night,wishing for raindrop to come.

One day ,Wiggly snake was hunting mice,then he saw a hawk,Swoopy hawk in the sky,the snake hissed and slithered aroud the groud quikly,and the hawk didn’t come toward him!

Just then,came the souds of hoofes plopping,and the sound of elephants,and shouts of people,they were running to cloud in the sky ,everyone hoped to be first to it.But the hawk stopped and said to Wiggly snake,“Wiggly!aren’t you going along?”“No.”said snake.“They don’t know  where’s the water,if you peck at this groud,water will come out of it!”

Swoopy pecked it with his beak,then he stood upon it ,and try to aparted with claws.(这里我没看懂，问小作者，她说，hawk已经啄出了一条裂缝，如果把裂缝弄大，就能找到水了。)

Then a baby elephant,who had got left behind came,“snake!”he said “and Swoopy ,I thought you are going with the others.”

“Because I think there’s water right here.”said snake.

“Can you get that shovel,Trunky?!”asked Swoopy hawk.

“Ok!you ’ve got a deal.”Trunky the elephant got that shovel.

“Shovel it apart,ok?” “ok.””So the little elephant shoveled it apart,there was water!

“Water!”cried snake,he dived into it!

He said“it’s so cold!”he dived in again.The elephant got some water from the well and put it in mouth,saying “I think we should shovles it up and covered it right now.”

“Why?” said Wiggly sneak, “the otheres are coming back!”said Trunky elephant,pointing to figuers.He shoveled it up,and then he stood upon it.

It was mother elephant.“Snake!Wiggly snake! Swoopy hawk!I thought you were gone!why are you stay here!”

“We found Trunky!”

“Trunky!my dear!”said the mother elephant! “what in the world are you doning here!”

“I was tyring to dig a hole!”said Trunky.

“Trunky?!”said mother elephant,“I think the groud near here  somewhere was wet! padded with water! maybe the place under your feet! that all wet!what are you doing on that!”

“I was standing there.”said Trunky elephant.

“Well,we can dig through it!”

And they did.

“Phew!Well done !”said Trunky elephant after a minute.

“Now,We will always have water!because the water is right here!”said mother elephant.

结束后，我不可免俗地问小作者，这个故事tell了啥lesson。她说，This story telles us:You can find what you are looking for right beside you!!!

这篇博文的生产流程——周四，让她说日记，英文的，她说没啥好说就编故事吧。于是，她口述，我录音。今天，周六，上午，我边听录音边敲并打印出来，下午，刚刚，跟她一起核对，看有无口误和耳误/笔误，结果，我的耳误/笔误比她的口误多。

关于语法等方面的错误，敬请各位朋友指教！不谦虚滴说，我已经无能为力了，做为一个当年英文学的不咋地，这十几年来既不学英文也不用英文的人来说，这可真的不需要谦虚。

另：如果你在正式出版物上见过这个故事，万望告知。尽管我羡慕佩服并夸奖了她编的这个故事，我心里还有点儿不是太有底儿。我没见过这个故事。她说这个故事to be continued，续集下周有。
