Stuff like that 诸如此类的东西

【疯狂讲解】

“stuff”一般用在事物名称不详、无关紧要或所指事物不明显的时候，表示“东西；玩意儿”的意思。你也可以在罗列事物最后加上一句“stuff like that”来表示“等等；诸如此类”的意思。一般用于非正式场合。

【疯狂操练】

1.       I was kind of impatient about somebody kept telling me stuff like that.

对于那些一直对我讲诸如此类事情的人，我真有点不耐烦。【impatient adj.不耐烦的；急躁的】

2.       I hate hamburgers, fried chicken, pizza and stuff  like that. They’re not good for our health.

我讨厌吃汉堡包、炸鸡块、比萨饼诸如此类的东西。它们都对健康无益。

3.       I don’t understand why people push in line, spit and do other rude stuff like that.

我不明白为什么人们喜欢插队、吐痰和其他诸如此类不礼貌的事情。

【疯狂实战一】

A: What will you do this weekend?

这个周末你打算做什么？

B:I will do some housework, like laundry and stuff like that. And, let’s see…I’ll do some shopping too, if I have time.

我会做些家务活，像洗衣服什么的。还有，让我想一下……如果有时间的话，我还会去买点东西。

【疯狂实战二】

A: There is nothing I like more than a good mystery novel when I’ve got some spare time.

我有空的时候最喜欢看悬疑小说了。

B: I like to read too. But I prefer non-fiction: history, social commentary and stuff like that.
