A friend of mine talked with me about starting a business project. I gave may comment that it is normal as following:
-
You may think about 100
-
Put into action 10
-
Then succeed 1.
I cannot help recalling my experiences since 2000.
The BotaLyrics project was taken into account in 2007, and they are on shelf this month.
The bairenpearl project was firstly scripted in 2000, it's still a blueprint....
In fact, since 2000, I experienced 5 or 6 projects. I tried time by time but have to exterminate...
In 2000, I was lured by the first Internet tide in China and planned to do E-commerce about pearl, that's why I went to Zhuji after graduation.
I stayed there for about 6 months, returned to Shanghai cuz of my ex-GF.
The project was temporarily abandoned and I had to look for a job but in vain. Fortunately my classmate has a room in which there is an unoccupied bed for me.
I used to be active in Alibaba exporting forum and I wrote a lot there, got to know some cyber friends. I translated some articles about United Nations Procurement which aroused up the interests of a rich lady in Guangdong, she promises to invest in my UN procurement consulting project--I planned to help Chinese companies understanding the rules of UN and to entering UN market.
I carefully focused on this project and translated a book about 100,000 characters in three months. When a new year started, I was told that she just opened another plant and became unable to invest in the UNP project...
Then I found a new fashion of pearl tea in Shanghai. The fashion just started from the south-eastern area. One cup of the tea was priced 5 or 8 Yuan, and the cost was only 1 or 1.2, in a word, this is a profitable business.
I visited Xi'an and found in such a big city, scarcely are there any pearl tea shops, and I found this may be a chance. Then I designed the pearl tea chain-shop project in Shaanxi named Shuang & Cool.
I prepared everything and established the supplying source in Shanghai. All materials, money (including My Dad and Mom's investments), venue and personnel (the first one is my elder sister).
Just before the date this tea shop to be opened, I was told by the brother in law that all the money was gone for an accidental situation....
All money of my family gone. I borrowed money from friends for him, for the accident.
Then I noticed a commercial on CCTV about a new technology changing countryside garbage (wood pieces, leaves, straw and plants stem) into gas, which can be a clean energy source for farmers.
The gas-tech was very amazing according to the descriptions and, from a scientific view, this tech is not a story, but a realistic path.
Cuz of the accident, I got penniless and only had 2000 RMB that my father borrowed for me. I have no money to invest and I found one of my best friends who was then already a millionaire. I told him about this tech and he was very interested. I followed him to Chengdu, which as then his base, and then prepared to go to Beijing to buy this tech authorization, which was valued 30,000RMB.
After visiting Chengdu for several days, in a afternoon, I went to the railway station to book the ticket to Beijing, passing by a cyber-bar.
I came up with an idea of searching more information about this tech and I was so excited to find out that I need not to go Beijing, cuz a gentleman in Jianyang Sichuan claimed he had that tech and wished to transfer this tech with a price of 2,000RMB. We were so happy and the next day we went to Jianyang to look for this gentleman, Mr. Jiang.
Mr. Jiang was a very kind and honest person. He worked in local patent administration and he told us that this tech is scientific, this goal (of converting plant into gas) can be realized, but, under very strict conditions, which made this tech unfeasible.
I was
disappointed by this message while felt lucky...30,000RMB was a big
sum to me.
Then I had to go back Shanghai to look for a job. When I left only
600RMB in pocket, I found my second job.
One year later, I started selling slimming pills and breast-up creams online, my shop brand was named "BeautyCab". I finally aborted this because my intuition told me that the slimming pills was not safe, according to some feedbacks from my customers.
Then, a new fashion came, hand-made soaps. The beautiful soaps were quite acctractive and popular. My GF and I went to Nanjing to buy the tech and materials. We bought some samples and found them hard to sell. We tried to make soaps but found it to complicated and trivial. Finally the soaps were consumed by my sisters, nephew and ourselves.
In
2004 I changed my job to Fenix and in 2007, leftlady was
founded.
Such a long and tiresome story.
But seems the illusion trip is not to be ended.
