On Nov 14, I received a phone call from doctor office which advising me that swine flu shot is available and I could get it on November 15. if I want. I know it's safe to get both at the same time, however, due to the shortage of H1N1 flu shot, I wasn't able to get it on Nov 5, I only got regular flu shot that day, so it's better to wait two weeks to get swine flu shot in my case. 

I was wondering if I shall get the H1N1 flu shot on Nov 15, so I asked a friend of mine who is a scientist for that.

He said: If the choice was up to me, I would get the swine flu shot on Nov 15.

I said: I want to get swine flu vaccine, but I want to make sure it's safe for me           to get it tomorrow.

He said: Well do what you wish. But, if the choice was up to me, I would get the swine flu shot on Nov 15.

I asked him: Why was that?

He said: Because I wouldn't want to lose my chance to get the swine flu vaccine.
I said: Aren't you afraid of the medical side effects if you get both vaccines within 10 days?

He said: If you can get them both at the same time, why should getting them within 10 days of each other matter? Can I tell you something?

I said: Yes, please.

He said: I have given you my advice; someone else has given you their advice. You have to decide, get swine flu vaccine after only 10 days or wait 3 to 4 weeks and possibly not be able to get it later. I suggest you go for the swine flu vaccine tomorrow and ask all of your questions to the people there, before getting the vaccine, since they can better answer your questions then I can. After getting their answers, then you can decide what to do.

I said: I will go there and ask doctor if I am okay to get it.

He said: Yes, please do that.

I said: I will.

he said: I wouldn't want you to be able to get it but not get it, then get sick. I can't have my good friend getting sick. Are you still there?

I said: Yes, thank you for taking care of me.

He said: You are welcome.

     On Nov. 15, I went to doctor office and asked my questions. They stated it’s better to have different types of flu shot after two weeks rather than 10 days. Then they asked me if I got any medical side effects from regular flu shot, I told them I didn’t. Then they gave me swine flu shot on Nov 15, 09.
