Today I walked to McKinley Park, several miles away from my
location. It took a long time to get to the park.
After
a few hours some people said they were hungry and it was 80 minutes
before breakfast so everyone had a snack, a cookie. Then everyone
was playing with bubbles and I helped get some of the water from
the fountains. There was a lot of bubbles and everyone wants to
make the biggest bubbles. When we finished
blowing our bubbles we went to catch bugs. We got spoons to dig the
bugs and jars to collect the bugs and we also got magnifying
glasses. Some people were digging a large hole and there was a
small hole inside, Mrs. Altadonna said there might be a bug inside
that hole but no one found any. A kid found a bug hiding in a tree
and when the bug came out the girl accidentally squished the bug
because she was too quick that she hit it with her spoon. Someone
said "Don't worry we will find more." After that she found an ant
and people were looking at it with a magnifying glass, which made
it look bigger than it was. But too many kids wanted to see it and
the jar dropped to the ground and the ant ran away. They tried to
find another bug but there was no more bugs so we were going to
draw pictures on the ground. We were going to draw pictures of bugs
on the ground. Jennifer drew a ladybug and a heart next to it using
pink and purple. Everyone drew nice pictures but the teacher said
that the heart and ladybug picture better, which made her happy.
She always drew the princess and the heart on her paper and
decorated with beautiful colors.
We had a peanut butter sandwich with low fat milk for lunch and 1
apple. Kids also had another snack. It seemed to me that one boy
had an allergy to the pollen in the park and he
didn't want to eat any food because he was not feeling
well but Mrs. Altadonna persuaded him to take 1
bite. Finally he took one bite and threw the rest to the garbage
can. He only drank the milk for
lunch.
After the break kids started to play tag. Jennifer was being caught
but she never wanted to catch people. She only ran halfway so they
had to catch her again. She was laughing all the time because she
was not caught easy.
The trip to the park
was
enjoyable, though we were
all tired on the way home. Kids all wanted free showers so Mrs,
Altadonna was busy on spreading water to everyone and that’s fun
too.
