With the rapid development of computer science, many people who has a computer or other e-book viewers are reading books on line. Some people feel that the e-books will replace the traditional books for their low cost and convenience to acquire. From my point of view, I think traditional books will not be replaced by e-books in recent decades.

Firstly, most people have already got used to reading in a traditional way. People feel up to reading traditional books because they can enjoy the beautiful redolence of the books when reading. They can enjoy the good feeling when holding the refined book. In addition, it's good for our eyes. Nowadays we watch TV, play computer a lot, and our eyes have too much burden. We should relax them by removing them from computers.

Secondly, traditional books have many interesting and meaningful advantages. It can be regarded as a distinctive gift to present. But, how can you present an e-book to your friend as a gift? We may also hear that a good book is what you even want to read in the toilet. To some extent, it’s a kind of pleasure. But, how can you take an e-book into toilet? Can you take your computer into toilet? Of course not. Besides, reading e-books may divert your attention. Most of us may have ever had such experience that you failed to read e-book but turned to play games or watch films. Such things can be averted when you read traditional books.

In addition, although the new technology is developing all the time, traditional way of life still has its reason to exist. For example, some people predicted that the film would be replaced by the television. They also said that painting would be replaced by the photographs. But what’s the result? Nothing they said has happened because painting is an art: we enjoy it in the process of drawing it. As well as painting, we enjoy the books in the process of holding it, flicking over the pages, and putting a beautiful bookmark in it.

Last but not least, with the spread of e-book, some social problems appear. E-book can be easily copied by others through pressing “ctrl and c” then “ctrl an v”. Therefore, the writer’s copyright will be easily ignored.

However, we don’t deny the advantages e-books take us. With the using of the paper, it can immensely improve our environment. E-books is also very low-cost and easy to acquire.

To sum up, e-book won’t replace the traditional book in recent decades because its advantages are definite and most people have got used to it. I hope we can develop our good habit for reading famous and classic book in the campus.
