ah, the immense sky and boundless sea

a silver bubble is in between 

overhead are constellations beaming and whirling 

and underneath is billowing surge and swell

it’s high time for mortals to fall to sleep

while i, wrapped in a milk-white peacock cloak

far far away for a long long time

stand alone lofty on an ivory boat

oh, rather than a merman with bead-like tears

sinking to the dark seabed to lead a shameful life 

i’d live in the ethereal silver light 

just like a shooting meteor

trailing with a fantastic light  

and pass away towards the infinite

sailing on and on......

i won’t be unworthy of the bright moon ahead

无边天海呀！

一个水银的浮沤！ 

上有星汉湛波， 

下有融晶泛流，

正是有生之伦睡眠时候。

我独披着件白孔雀的羽衣，

遥遥地，遥遥地，

在一只象牙舟上翘首。

啊，我与其学做个泪珠的鲛人，

返向那沈黑的海底流泪偷生， 

宁在这缥缈的银辉之中， 

就好象那个坠落了的星辰，

曳着带幻灭的美光，  

向着“无穷”长殒！

前进！……前进！

莫辜负了前面的那轮月明！ 

一九二〇，一一，二三。
