夏季是肌肤排毒的最佳时机。

早就翻完了有点儿偷懒,再不发夏天真的过去了啊。

 来次为期5天的简易夏日芳香疗法排毒吧!

像水槽内的垃圾会堵塞一样,堵塞也会发生在体内,我们需要给身体大扫除。若方法正确,排毒是非常安全的,且有益健康。健康们专家建议,每年至少要进行一次体内排毒。

 

儿童、哺乳期女性、癌症病人、慢性退行性疾病和肺结核患者进行排毒前需要先咨询医师的意见。


 

科学的观点

 

只要身体健康,身体可以非常有效的转化、中和、消解毒素。饮食过量或身体太虚时,毒素将在体内累积。缺乏锻炼、压力过大、不健康饮食都会导致淋巴的堵塞和体内毒素的累积。

 

淋巴系统通过淋巴结排出毒素、细菌和其它体内废弃物。毒素累积所导致的症状包括胃肠道疾病、便秘、腹胀、疼痛、咳嗽、疲劳、头痛、黏膜炎、肌肤问题、免疫系统低下等。

精油能协助淋巴引流减少毒素。下表中(往下拖哈)列出的所有精油都可加速淋巴活动或刺激循环系统的方式净化体内环境。这并不是一个侵略性的方法,只需5天。

排毒的过程

 

肝脏是人体重要的排毒器官,肾脏和结肠在排毒时也要考虑。理想的排毒方式是激励身体以自然的方式处理毒素。

 

有效的排毒方式包括:运动、节食、干刷肌肤、灌肠等。同时使用两种或两种以上方法效果更佳,尤其其中一种是芳疗的方式。

 

皮肤是人体最大的器官,在排毒方面发挥着重要作用。干刷肌肤能刺激循环和表层腺体,改善淋巴循环,排出毒素。

 

用天然猪鬃毛或丝瓜刷,从脚趾向上,以向心的方式扫过。长柄刷最好,能刷到手够不到的地方。

  

橙汁小tips

看过一个关于美容的纪录片,不同被试盲测不同减肥产品,结果很意外,最有效的方式不是各种昂贵的减肥产品,就是干刷(注,记得没有运动一项),而在苏珊老师的大师课上,也强调过干刷的重要。

 

干刷的要点是肌肤和刷子都处于干燥状态,且力度要轻柔,不要像北方人洗澡那么使劲就好了。

运动和节食

 

节食是传统的排毒方法,但对于忙碌的都市人来说并不可行。运动可提高身体新陈代谢,15分钟的运动足矣。

 

运动时,淋巴液每分钟可排出20ml的废物,而休息时这个数字只有1-2ml。游泳、慢跑、快走都能加速新陈代谢,刺激血液循环。

 

而更轻松的排毒方法是吃。吃人人都喜欢!需要连续吃排毒食物5天,这些食物包括生的蔬菜、水煮蔬菜,水果、全麦食品、果汁和纯净水。

 

最简单有效的排毒食物是水,任何排毒方式都应饮水。专家认为,在排毒期间每天至少喝10杯水。

 

在夏季排毒期间应避免吃肉类、牛奶、酵母制品、面包、精炼糖、碳水化合物等,这些食物会导致粘液分泌的增加。同时,也要减少咖啡、酒等的摄入,而用花草茶来代替。


 

排毒按摩&沐浴

芳疗按摩能帮助排毒。可选择3款你喜欢的精油以基础油稀释后调成按摩油。来个配方吧:2滴杜松,1滴甜茴香,1滴葡萄柚,1滴丝柏,混合后稀释到10ml基础油中,按摩背部、腹部及双腿。

 

也可以在热水浴的时候使用精油。古埃及人、希腊人、罗马人及日本人都知道沐浴的疗愈和净化特质。

 

沐浴和按摩时选不同的精油,效果更佳。

  

理想状态下,5天内至少要进行两次排毒按摩,为了效果最佳,可隔天用精油沐浴,配合节食更好了,当然,方法不一定需全用上。

欧白芷根、黑胡椒、豆蔻、丝柏、甜茴香、天竺葵、姜、葡萄柚、永久花、杜松浆果、柠檬、玫瑰、迷迭香、百里香

有的精油功效非常的强大,敏感肌肤且要在沐浴时使用,需先用乳化剂或其它分散剂稀释。

黑胡椒、姜、迷迭香都是精油中有名的红皮剂,使用时最好低剂量,如在按摩油中,比例在0.5%以内,

EssentialOils For A Summer Detox

With the warmer weather finallyarriving here in the UK, it’s the perfect time to begin making the usualseasonal changes to your skin care regimen.

But this time we’re starting onthe inside with a 5 day, quick and easy summer detox – done the gentlearomatherapy way. True beauty really does come from within.

Just like your kitchen sink afterpouring all sorts of things down it over a period of time, a blockage can alsobegin to build up in your body, so you need to flush out your system. When donecorrectly, detoxification is safe and beneficial for our health, and manyhealth experts suggest that we should aim to embark upon at least one detoxprogram annually.

However, children, nursingmothers, and patients with cancer, chronic degenerative illness andtuberculosis should consult their physician first for approval.

The science bit

Providing we are in good healthand not already suffering from the effects of toxicity, our body transforms,neutralises or eliminates toxins very efficiently. Toxicity only begins tobuild up in our bodies when we take in more than our body can use or eliminate,or when we are run-down. Modern lifestyles mean that most of us do not takeenough exercise, and in combination with stressful lifestyles and unhealthydiet this all contributes to lymphatic congestion and a build-up of toxins.

The lymphatic system consists ofa network of tubes that drain excess liquid called ‘lymph’ from your bodytissues into your bloodstream. The lymph then travels to lymph nodes where itis cleansed of toxins, bacteria and other waste products before re-entering thebloodstream. Symptoms caused by a build up of toxins include gastrointestinalconditions such as constipation and bloating, aches and pains, coughs, fatigue,headaches, catarrh, skin problems and a breakdown in the immune system.

Aromatherapy is such a tremendousaid to detoxifying because essential oils can assist lymphatic drainage whichis vital for the efficient elimination of toxins. All of the essential oilslisted in the sidebar below help to cleanse the body by either acceleratinglymph and tissue circulation, or by stimulating the circulatory system. This isa non-aggressive cleansing regime and only takes 5 days, although you cancontinue for a few more days if you wish.

Processof elimination

The liveris the main organ responsible for detoxification in the body due to itsmultiple metabolic functions, although the kidneys play an important role aswell. The colon is responsible for the elimination of toxins, and an effectivecleansing treatment will take this into account. Skin isthe largest organ of the body and it plays a major role in eliminating toxins.The simple technique of skin brushing is a highly effective strategy in yourbattle against toxins. It stimulates the circulation and superficial glands,thereby improving lymph drainage, helping to flush out those toxins.

Using anatural bristle brush or loofah mit, start at your toes and gently brushupwards towards your heart using quick sweeping motions. A long handled brushis best since it enables you to reach further, but don’t worry about the areasthat you can’t reach.

Exerciseand diet

Fastinghas always been the traditional way to detoxify the body, but for many busy peoplethese days it is too extreme and simply not practical. I find that exercise isa great way to start your summer detox since it steps up the body’s metabolicrate. Just 15 minutes on a rebounder helps to stimulate the lymph nodes whichdrain the lymphatic system.

Amazingly,during exercise the lymph can drain about 20mls of waste per minute, whereas atrest this figure falls to only 1-2mls per minute. Swimming, jogging, circuittraining and even just brisk walking really help to increase your metabolicrate and boost your circulatory system.

A lessstrenuous approach to detoxifying involves eating foods that help with thebody’s efficient elimination of a toxic build-up. This is my preferredalternative to fasting, and I’m betting it’s likely to be yours too! Cleansingfoods that you should eat over the 5 day detox period include raw vegetables,steamed vegetables, fruit, whole-grains, juices and filtered water.

I knowyou’ve heard it all before, but the single most important and effectivedetoxifier of all is water, which should be taken during every type of internalcleansing program, and continued beyond. According to experts, during yourdetox routine you should drink up to 10 glasses of water a day to help the bodyflush out those nasty toxins.

Foodsthat you should avoid during your summer detox include meat, milk and yeastproducts, bread, refined sugar and carbohydrate products which cause anincrease in the production of mucous. These foods really should be avoidedduring your cleansing and revitalising program. Also cut down on all types ofstimulants like caffeine and alcohol, replacing them with herbal teas. Sorry!

Detox massage and baths

Massage offers the most benefits in anaromatherapy detox routine due to the beneficial effects it has on thecirculatory system. Choose any 3 of the essential oils from the chart and youwill have a potent cleansing and detoxifying massage blend that will be sure tobring you positive results. For a really powerful detoxifying treatment, mix 2drops of Juniper, 1 drop of Fennel, 1 drop of Grapefruit, and 1 drop of Cypressinto 10mls of your chosen carrier oil. For the very best results this should bemassaged on to the back, abdomen and legs.

You can also use your essential oils in a hotbath, since the heat draws toxins to the surface of the skin, and as thewater begins to cool the toxins are drawn into the water due to the process ofosmosis. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans all understood the healingand cleansing properties of bathing, and in Japan they still believe it is aspiritual act, connecting the bather with nature cleansing both the mind andbody.
