★在英语中，有定冠词the引导的所有格，若很清楚地表示出某人的职业时，其后表示上班场所的名词可予以省略，而直接用“the+所有格”来表示该场所。常用的此类所有格有如下几个：

the doctor's office/clinic→the doctor's——医生诊疗室

the dentist's office/clinic→the dentist's——牙医诊所

the barber's shop→the barber's——理发店

the butcher's shop→the butcher's——肉店

the grocer's shop→the grocer's——食品杂货店
